In September 2013, I applied to this company for organizing a romantic trip to Rhodes. My girlfriend and I liked a small family hotel with 7 rooms in Lindos, 150 meters from the beach, shown by the wonderful manager Alexei Zharikov, which we gladly chose and bought a tour, looking forward to a carefree vacation. Imagine our amazement when the transfer took us to Foliraki (37 km before Lindos) to a hotel with the same name, but located more than 30 minutes walk to the beach! At the same time, in order to get to the beach, it was necessary to cross the main 4-lane highway of the island, which was not equipped with a pedestrian zone (!), and then another, less busy one. We called the miracle manager Alexei Zharikov and demanded that we be moved to the hotel of our choice, or any other of the same category and distance from the beach.
Miracle manager Alexei Zharikov told us that it was already the end of the working day, and he would definitely raise this issue tomorrow morning and call back. The next morning, without waiting for a call from the miracle manager Alexei Zharikov, we ourselves called back to Chiptrip and were surprised to hear on the other end of the phone the miracle manager Artem, who said that the miracle manager Alexei Zharikov was not working today (!) And he, the miracle manager Artem will look at the correspondence of the miracle manager Alexei Zharikov with the tour operator and call us back. After 20 minutes, the wonderful manager Artem really called us back and said that we were settled in exactly the hotel in which we bought the tour (!), And also that Chiptrip could not provide us with another hotel and offered, after consulting with the wonderful administrator Tarelina Olga, to resolve this issue with the tour operator for an additional fee (!) Justifying this by the fact that the hotels are overcrowded.
With all this, in the hotel in which we were settled, only one of the 17 rooms was occupied - ours (!).
Contrary to Chiptrip, we had a good rest, since there are a lot of things to see on the island.
Here are my conclusions after this story:
The manager of a travel agency may make a mistake in choosing a tour, but the professionalism and decency of a travel agency is checked by whether it is able to correct the mistake made. I consider Chiptrip and his wonderful managers to be unprofessional and dishonest people and I do not recommend my friends, acquaintances and all those who read this post to contact this agency - these people are not responsible for their mistakes.
