Hello everyone, we want to share our impressions of the rest in Hurghada, in November 2016. In this country for the first time, we decided to go on the advice of friends who spoke enthusiastically about the Red Sea. We turned to the point of sale of Coral Travel tours - again, on the advice of friends, as many used the services and were quite satisfied.
We opted for TIA HEIGHTS MAKADI BAY AQUA PARK. It was important that the first line, a large area and the presence of slides (we had an 11-year-old child with us, so that there was something to do). The flight, transfer and check-in went well, the only thing was that we had to wait a bit until the room was prepared, left the luggage and went for a walk around the territory. The size of the pool is impressive, they even say that it is the largest among all the hotels in Egypt. The husband was separately impressed by the bar right in the pool)). Checking into the room also did not cause negative emotions, although it is noticeable that the situation is rather “older” and in some places needs to be updated. But we knew that this situation is in many hotels in the country, and the number of stars is not at all a guarantee that you will get into the palace of the eastern padishah. Here everything was five-plus: the plumbing worked, all the cosmetics were (and were constantly updated, as was the supply of drinking water in the room).
The beach at the hotel is beautiful, spacious and sandy. The entrance is gentle, next to the shore there is a reef with beautiful fish. There were always enough sun loungers (probably due to the fact that there are no tourists from the Russian Federation in Egypt now).
The hotel has several restaurants (most of all I liked "Italian" and "Fish"), there is a bar on the beach, in the pool, at the reception - in general, a round-the-clock place for drinkers. As for the food, I can say: there is a lot of it, different, tasty, and everyone will find their own. We certainly weren't hungry, and some of us even gained a couple of kilos).
When planning the trip, we, of course, thought about excursions. Coral offers different options - of course, the Pyramids, Luxor, Alexandria, various boat trips. I have long dreamed of visiting Jerusalem, and I persuaded my husband to take a tour! The program is as follows: by plane to Taba (this is a city right on the border with Israel), there passing the border, boarding buses and a few hours drive to the Dead Sea, and from there another part of the way to amazing Jerusalem. The tour is not cheap, but we did not regret for a second that we decided. The country is simply cosmic - the landscapes of the desert, the unreal Dead Sea were very impressive. There was a long stop on one of the beaches, we swam (if you can call it that!) and smeared ourselves with therapeutic mud. You can’t stay in the water for more than 10 minutes, it’s very saturated with various chemicals. Surprisingly, in the water you can’t even roll over on your stomach - it pushes you out like a piece of foam.
After the Dead Sea, a long drive to Jerusalem, the guide spoke in a fascinating way about Israel's struggle to preserve the sea (it is rapidly shallowing), kibbutzim and life in Israel. In Jerusalem, we visited all the iconic places - Via Dolorosa, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the Church of the Nativity (for this we had to enter the territory of Palestine).
The trip was successful, and we were all so imbued with a thirst for impressions and travel that upon our return we decided to visit the pyramids again. Still, they are considered one of the seven wonders of the world. The bus ride is quite tiring, but the experience of the pyramids makes you forget about such trifles.
Our trip to Egypt turned out to be wonderful: the fantastic Red Sea, ancient Jerusalem, the pyramids - we saw so much, but we definitely want to come back here again. Special thanks to Coral Travel guides for their attentive attitude and friendship.
