Excursion "Green Canyon" with dinner on a yacht from "Join Up"

I really want to draw the attention of the operator "Join Up" to this tour. In general, my opinion coincides with the opinion of the majority of the excursion participants from 10/05/21 (guide Alexander). The tour is not thought out properly and in the end causes instead of joy and pleasure, irritation and anger.

The first part - a bus ride and a ferry ride through the Green Canyon, in general, is not bad, very interesting and informative.

One thing is bad: in the autumn (we were on October 5) the group arrives in the canyon in the afternoon, when the sun hides, a rather strong wind blows, it is very cool. Therefore, starting from the end of September, only the most fearless and hardened can count on the pleasure of swimming. The rest sit sadly on the boat, not knowing what to do, and dejectedly listen to the music screaming from the speakers. It is necessary to explain to tourists when buying a tour that swimming at this time of the year is extremely doubtful so that people do not drag extra things with them.

Traveling by ferry along the canyon itself is one of the most memorable and interesting moments of the excursion.

The second part of the tour is complete horror. It all starts with the fact that the evening has come (in autumn, after 19 hours it is already dark). All tired, full of impressions and hungry go to the ancient city of Side. They are quickly led through the streets, not giving a proper view of the city, and loaded onto a tiny wooden yacht.

Especially about the yacht - this ship is more like a “nutshell” boat from the time of pirates. With every step she sways strongly on the waves. Tired, hungry people go on board in bewilderment, trying to understand what they want to show in pitch darkness (only the city on the shore glows, in the sea there is absolutely impenetrable darkness). Not only that, most are not used to strong pitching, and they begin to feel sick (sorry for the details). This is not the first time we have been on yachts, but we have NEVER experienced such rolling in a completely calm-looking sea.

The captain turns the ship into the sea and people begin to panic, because we are going in an incomprehensible course in pitch darkness on an old ship that sways incessantly so that it is even dangerous to walk on it. They served dinner, which no one is interested in anymore, because people are worried about how to survive this sea trip, some grab life jackets. Many, including me and my companions, endlessly asked the guide when this nightmare would end and “we better go to the shore.” There is nothing to see but the receding city lights and black waves. The guide, of course, tried to tell something, to explain that they wanted to show us the beauty of Side from the sea. But not at this time of the year, not in the evening, when darkness is around, and not on such a life-beaten ship.

How can you spoil the mood like that and make people go through so many unpleasant and even terrible minutes, endanger them for their own money?....

Explain how it could have come to mind to make so many mistakes when organizing an excursion:

- The time for swimming has not been thought out, taking into account autumn.

- They dragged people to a fragile boat, instead of walking around the city and having dinner at a restaurant on the shore.

- They went out at night into the sea during pitching.

The assessment of the tour, which Join Up advertises as the most interesting in the Side region, is a triple in their performance with two big minuses. Three, not one, just because Green Canyon is actually a wonderful place.
