How did we NOT go on vacation?

The organization of the trip and the choice of the hotel were taken in advance - a month before the trip. We turned to the travel agency Ola Travel. The Maya Golf Hotel (Side) was found by ourselves, according to photos and reviews, on the website of the travel agency, it was suitable for the budget. The tour operator TPG was unfamiliar to us, so the manager of the Ola Travel agency was asked about their decency. And received positive feedback. The tour and the hotel reservation were confirmed to us three weeks in advance, the manager personally called back. At the same time, the money for the tour was 100% paid to the travel agency Ola Travel.

Two days before departure, the agency manager called and said that the TPG tour operator could not send us to the hotel of our choice due to the resale of our seats (why then booking a month in advance and how is this even possible ??). In exchange, we were offered to visit another one (!) Hotel on the same dates with much worse conditions. We refused and demanded a refund. Tour operator TPG offered two more options, with even worse conditions. We insisted on the cancellation, which we confirmed to the travel agency Ola Travel. When asked about the timing of the refund, we were informed that the funds would be returned within 7 days. After a week, there were no calls or correspondence. I had to apply directly to the owner of the travel agency Ola Travel, and only after that they returned the funds to us.

Lost time, nerves, money (due to changes in the hryvnia exchange rate for more than a month).

We did not get to the long-awaited vacation. (((

We will never contact the Ola Travel travel agency, and, moreover, the TPG tour operator again. Exactly like visiting the Maya Golf Hotel ever. And we don't recommend it.
