Great weekend in Europe
I decided to give my nephew a gift for his 20th birthday, and went with him for the weekend to Europe. Budapest and Vienna met us with sunny weather. We lived in Budapest, on the Buda side. Hotel 3 * on the basis of breakfast (buffet). There were a lot of excursions, as well as impressions, they returned to the hotel late in the evening, so they simply could not have lunch and dinner at the hotel. Budapest struck with its architecture. The Fisherman's Bastion and the Parliament were simply amazing. We learned that it was in Budapest, the oldest subway in all of Europe. It was interesting to watch the changing of the presidential guard. It is a pity that we did not get into the Szechenyi baths and the zoo in Budapest, but there will be an incentive to return. Of the national dishes, we tried fish soup and goulash. I can not say that I really liked it, so, for an amateur. But the most vivid impression of Budapest was a boat trip on the Danube. The city looks very bewitching, especially when the illumination of architectural buildings and bridges is turned on.
Vienna struck with its scope. Huge squares, where the monarchs of the Austrian Empire walked, harmoniously coexist with the modern city. We wandered around the city center, saw the Parliament, the Town Hall and St. Stephen's Cathedral. Interestingly, in the city center, you can get drinking water for free, which helped us a lot in the heat. Several times we were almost hit by a cyclist on the bike path, as it is not customary that they have more rights than pedestrians. We wanted to watch the performances of the Lipizzan horse breed, but there was little time, because we had only one day allocated for each city.
If you do not know how to spend the weekend, then visiting Europe will be a great option. I advise everyone.
