The main advantage of the hotel is its location. Quiet place almost in the city center (within the Ring). The nearest metro station Shwedenplats is a 2-3 minute walk, next to the Spar supermarket. To St. Stephen's Cathedral min. 5 walking pace. The hotel building is old. The rooms are modest but practical. (Smoking rooms available). I was pleased that they were very warm. The room has a very comfortable bed, an old (not LCD or plasma) Philips TV, wardrobe, hair dryer. TV catches 19 channels, one of them is ours - "Russia", 2 channels are advertising for this hotel. There is no refrigerator or air conditioner in the room. The bathroom is small, decorated with cheap materials, but neat enough. Breakfasts are normal, and no frills: boiled eggs, 2-3 types of sausages and cheeses, 2 types of yogurt, 2 types of buns, muesli, butter, jams, coffee, tea, apples, pears and oranges. The staff is generally polite, but met as not very kind, and sincerely hospitable and friendly. We talked in English. The national composition of the residents is diverse: Germans (? or Austrians), Russians, English speakers, Chinese, Poles, Italians. In general, the hotel, of course, is "not super", but quite suitable for short sightseeing tours.
