My wife and I vacationed in March 2026. This isn't my first time at the Naftalan sanatoriums. My impressions of this sanatorium are mixed.
Pros:
1. The treatment is good. Regular doctor consultations. Thanks to the treatment staff for their care.
2. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. Cleaning is done daily. The room has everything you need. If you need anything, the maids will provide it upon request.
3. The buffet. A wide selection of dishes, from classic Azerbaijani cuisine to dietary options. Everyone will find something to suit their taste.
Now, about what I didn't like:
1. The sanatorium is constantly undergoing renovations. It's impossible to relax during the day with the sound of drills and the shouts of workers. Also, due to the renovations, there are drafts in the hallways, which doesn't add to the benefit of the Naftalan treatment, which requires warmth.
2. Arrive for breakfast, lunch, or dinner half an hour after the meal starts, and you risk leaving hungry. Most of the food has already been taken.
3. Unpleasant interactions with the receptionist. Here, hospitality ends once you've paid for your stay.
I have decided for myself that I should not go to this sanatorium again.
