An old dream has come true!
We are tourists with extensive experience of traveling on our own - by car, by plane, by train, in general, in different ways, and we have been to many places, but the dream of BRUGES AND GENT still did not come true, something always did not give us go there. It really stopped me that for many years I had read reviews that Bruges, Amsterdam is a very expensive vacation, so everyone put it off for later, and here thanks to my friend, who began to tell me that I want to be in BRUGES, and this despite the fact that she was only in Turkey and Egypt and 1 time in Prague. Well, we began to think that, probably, the time has come and we need to go, and what will happen there.
Since I myself always book hotels, air tickets, trains, buses, I began to develop a route. Since we needed to go to Budapest for 1.5 days on our own business, that's why we started with it. It turned out like this: we flew to Budapest, my husband decided his business while my girlfriend and I walked for 2 days, then we flew to Brussels, a day there, we moved by train to Amsterdam, 2 full days, then by train to Bruges 3 days, Ghent and back by bus to Charleroi airport and flight to Warsaw 1 day (the night before the flight home, because there were very cheap flights, I had to).
We lived along the entire route only in 3-4 star hotels (super Amsterdam and Bruges), because it turned out that apartments are almost the same price, and it also costs money to travel from the suburbs. Air - all low-cost airlines (ridiculous prices). I bought trains and buses on the websites of carriers (somewhere at a promotion, and somewhere at a regular price).
They ate differently, depending on the situation, but more often in cafes and restaurants (which they didn’t count on at all, because they wrote that it was very expensive). We bought sightseeing tours, went on independent excursions by metro or trains. So, these are the main articles on which the money was spent. My friend is very good at writing down everything, how much she spent for the trip, and it turned out 9 nights for 900 euros for 1 person. (and I forgot: in this amount, 2 dresses at a discount in mango, 1 sandals, gifts and souvenirs and holland cheese a lot! ).
The conclusion is this: do not be afraid and do not worry about the high cost there, it is a complete LIE, which is why I just dreamed for so long, yes I agree, it is more expensive than in the same Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, Hungary, etc. etc. , but not fatal. At the end, we regretted a hundred times that we did not take another 2 days. I liked Brussels, I can’t say that it was a delight, but you need to see it (we saw all the pissing representatives). Bruges and Ghent, Amsterdam is a wonderful miracle and complete delight))) We want more, what we wish everyone, and if it was your dream, feel free to go!
