Stayed at La Madeleine Hotel Br? ssel from 26 to 30 December 2013. Chose based on price-location. As a city tour, I try to choose hotels in the very center of the city so that everything is within walking distance. Therefore, I am not chasing stardom, taking into account the fact that you only spend the night in a city hotel. The choice was satisfied. From the station Br? ssel Midi (or Brussels Central) literally 3 minutes at a leisurely pace. The Grand Place is a 1-minute walk away. My room was large and bright, on the 5th floor. True, the window overlooked the courtyard-well, but it was very quiet. The window is plastic, closes tightly and hermetically. The room is in good condition, there is a large safe in the closet (even an average laptop will fit), the safe is free of charge. The toilet has a bath. Removed och. carefully, towels changed daily, even if you don't throw them on the floor. Breakfast is quite. As for me - even more than. I have a more modest breakfast at home: 1 type of sausage, 1 type of cheese, 5-6 types of bread, boiled eggs, muesli, cereals, milk, juices, water, teas and coffees, jams, butter, honey, nutella, etc. jams. In a word, a standard hotel set. Bread ok. delicious. Wi-Fi is paid, but there is a little trick. If the windows of your room overlook the square, then from the neighboring Ibis a free signal finishes up to the La Madeleine hotel. Or in the dining room, because the windows of the dining room look just at the Ibis hotel. You can check your mail! Well, or in a park on a bench near the Novotel hotel. Also the signal is free, covers the nearby area. Check-out until 12:00. You can leave things in the storage room. Audibility in the room is quite high. But during my stay, no one in the neighboring rooms was particularly noisy, no discomfort. The staff is attentive and friendly. In general, no complaints, you can safely stop. Photos of the hotel are absolutely true.
From the airport I took the train to Br? ssel Midi (or Brussels Central). You can buy a ticket at the box office or from a machine (you can choose the language in the machine: English, German, French). The ticket must be purchased one way (7.80 Euro). Because round trip will be issued only for one date and on the day of departure it will already be invalid. Trains from the airport run approximately every 15 minutes. From Fri. after resurrection There is a 50% discount rate. But in my opinion, the direction from the airport is not included in this benefit. Although I'm not sure. Better to clarify.
P. S. If I had read the reviews, I would have been upset. I read it on my return. As if they are writing about another hotel! Quite a decent hotel. And its main advantage is its ideal location in the thick of things, right in the old center, close to all the sights!
