I booked a tour to this hotel, but for some reason our apartment was already occupied, so we were offered accommodation at the neighboring hotel, Elitsa. However, we had the option to eat at both Nona and Elitsa. Moreover, both hotels share a bar on the beach and by the pool. So, I can confidently compare the two hotels in terms of food, as we ate at both restaurants. First, about alcohol. Nona serves three types of locally bottled wine (red, white, and rosé ), while Elitsa only offers the first two. I didn't notice any difference in spirits, nor in beer (one type of light lager, quite decent). I also didn't notice any difference in barbecue (in fact, Elitsa served pancakes and fried eggs a couple of times, which wasn't the case at Nona). And the barbecue at both hotels was terrible in terms of preparation. The ingredients are good, but the cooking was clearly incompetent. As for the selection, Nona has about a third (if not half) more dishes (though only Elitsa had garlic). Although, to be honest, the difference isn't dramatic. The main thing is that the quality of the cooking in both hotels is roughly the same—not great.
The hotels share a beach. In August, there were plenty of sun loungers under umbrellas for everyone. In principle, there was no need to take up space. Everyone was simply trying to get spots closer to the sea. But since the beach in this part of Albena is not as wide as in the central part, the distance from the outer sun loungers to the third row of sun loungers is about a couple of dozen meters (which isn't critical, and the first two rows require a fee).
I don't know how they clean my room at Nona (I hope to find out next year – I've already booked my trip), but at Elitsa, they won't clean it unless you ask.

CONCLUSION: The hotels are basically the same standard. If you're short on money, Elitsa is the place to go. And from what I've seen, it's the best option on the beachfront in Albena. The only cheaper option I've seen is Oasis, but from there, the beach is several hundred meters away. At Elitsa, you could climb over the balcony railing (we stayed on the ground floor) and go straight to the pool, beyond which the beach begins. However, the price difference between these hotels is not very critical (especially for short periods).
And finally, I'll throw a little stone in the direction of the website where my opus will be published. In fact, the distance from the bus station to the hotel is not 800 meters, but 1300. You can check this on Google Maps. However, I personally verified it on foot when I walked there.
