My friend and I rested in February in Bansko at the Chateau Hotel. In theory, the hotel is four-star, but, frankly speaking, it is rather weak for 4 stars. The interior, in comparison with other Bansko 4 * hotels, seems rather poor, and the girls at the reception are not very friendly. Beds in the rooms are made every day, towels are also changed regularly, but we didn’t have enough cleaning. We personally liked the breakfasts included in the tour price. Eggs, sausages, sour milk, cheeses, sausages - everything is in abundance. So for breakfast - five. The rooms are warm and cozy. It seems that all the numbers are about the same. We lived on the 3rd floor. The room has two beds, bedside tables, TV with Bulgarian channels))), refrigerator. In the bathroom - hair dryer, shower, everything is as it should be. On the floors there are sofas, you can sit and smoke. The hotel has a SPA center, that is - a swimming pool, two saunas, a jacuzzi. Most of all we liked the swimming pool, large, with clean, warm water. There is one Turkish sauna, with steam, and the second is an ordinary dry sauna, although if you pour water on the pebbles, you get a Russian bathhouse, ours, dear. The temperature was day to day, sometimes good, sometimes not at all. I liked the Jacuzzi in general - the water is heavily chlorinated and hot, sometimes dirty. As a whole, the impression from the SPA zone is very positive. Especially after you ride enough....mmmmmmmm... and then, after water procedures in MEKHANU (national Bulgarian restaurants - a separate conversation). What else? The hotel has a restaurant - not mehana, just, but we did not eat there once. There is a lobby bar where booze is sold at very high prices. It’s easier to take a taxi, go to the mehana, or walk to the nearest store and buy. The location of the hotel is not very convenient. From the mountain - 800 meters, although there are free buses until 11 o'clock it seems, so this is not a problem, unless of course you decide to go for a ride in the afternoon. ))) From the center of the city of Bansko, where life is in full swing, far away. There is still nothing, you can stomp - about 30-20 minutes. walk in any direction of the city center. But back, especially if the girls, it is better to call a taxi. It is not very expensive (from 5 to 10 leva), but it is safe and fast. ))) In general, if you are not a particularly spoiled traveler looking for a good and inexpensive option for value for money, you may well choose this hotel.
Good luck to all! )))
