Having decided to go skiing in Bansko, we did not expect any supernatural service, but just a normal level of service, and, of course, good skiing.
The second did not disappoint us much, but we were somehow upset about the service. Since we were going on a trip at the last moment, we had to choose from what was left. The fundamental points in the selection were - relative proximity to the center / ski lift, breakfast only, 700-800 euros for 8 days (12/28-05/01). Hotel Snezhnaya Legend bribed with all these features, plus the presence of a swimming pool. The search for reviews about the hotel did not lead to practically anything - a couple of words about the fact that the hotel is new, and a couple of photos, or rather computer drawings of the hotel.
Upon arrival, we realized why there were no photos - we were the first to enter the hotel. At the time of arrival: the rooms still smelled of plaster, construction dust lay in a dense layer on the floor, the restaurant and the pool were not ready for work (when we went down to the restaurant out of curiosity, we found that there were no tiles on the floor). True, at the reception the girls assured us that within 2 days (ie by December 31) all work would be completed.

At the same time, we must say that we were not deceived. BUT . . if everything seemed to be ok with the pool (although as far as I know, before putting it into operation, the water in it needs to be defended for at least a couple of days . . ), then when you come to the restaurant for the first time for a New Year's dinner, which by the way, it was obligatory when buying a tour and cost 70 euros, we were very disappointed . . It was so cold in the restaurant that even after putting on sweaters and drinking a lot, we didn’t manage to warm up : ( plus a disgusting dinner menu.
Separately, a word about food . . while the restaurant was not working, breakfast was brought to our room . . it was always cold tea, cold toast, cold sausages . . As for the staff themselves, the nicest girls who worked at the reception often simply did not understand what we we want from them, but to questions, when, for example, we didn’t have any water for 3 hours in the morning, they just shook their heads saying that they don’t know what happened and when this problem will be resolved.
Once again, the second copies of the keys that the maids use when cleaning were lost in the hotel. Thus, when we came from skiing, we found our rooms not cleaned and we could only wonder who, in our absence, could visit our room with lost keys. On the same evening, there was no electricity in our part of the city. Having lost hope that the light will be turned on today, we went to bed. Around 11 pm there was a knock on our room. Without hearing an answer, our door was opened, probably by the same lost copy of the key. After our indignant cry "Didn't they eat ?! " the door on the other side was closed, and for us it remained a mystery who and for what purpose came to our room at 11 pm, when there was no electricity in the hotel...
A separate word about the location: Bansko is divided by the river into two parts - the left one (if you face the mountains) - the so-called. the historical center, with a bunch of restaurants, shops, hotels, life is seething there throughout the day. Snow Legend is located on the right side of the city, it can be called a new building, although by and large construction projects are going on throughout the city. But in this part of the city there are practically no restaurants, there is a construction site opposite the hotel (although we were never pestered by noise), and there is only one mini market nearby. True, on foot we managed to get to the center in 15-20 minutes at a walking pace, which is nice)
