Hotel "Valevitsa" (or "Valevitsata"), 3 * (although here, on the site for some reason it is marked as 2-star), I chose for our vacation because my husband and I prefer small private or family hotels. This hotel has two buildings - with modern rooms and a building with semi-antique rooms. We lived in a building with semi-antique rooms.
Our double room had a wardrobe, bedside tables, a TV, a refrigerator, a chest of drawers with a mirror and a few other pieces of furniture. The bathroom has new plumbing, a hair dryer, a large mirror with a spacious shelf for bathroom accessories, terry bathrobes, two towels for each, hotel slippers, as well as soap and shampoo. On the third day of our stay, bed linen and towels were changed. There was no cleaning in the room, only they took away the garbage, wiped the plumbing and added toilet paper.
The room was warm throughout the stay. There are batteries both in the bathroom and in the living room. There are batteries even in the corridors of the hotel. Hot water was all the time. One day their boiler broke. But we only found out about this when the hotel staff knocked on our room and offered to move to another room, in another building of the hotel. We said we would wait until the boiler was repaired. By the evening there was hot water. So we didn't feel any discomfort.

The hotel ensemble also includes a Bulgarian restaurant - mehana under the same name. We had paid breakfasts, so we had breakfast in the "Valevatsata" tavern. Breakfast: to choose from - tea or coffee or juice, to choose from - soup (chicken - "peleshka soup" or from the stomachs - "shkembe-chorba") or scrambled eggs (large enough - for 4 eggs, with mushrooms or cheese or vegetables or mix) or the so-called plate. On this plate were: 2 pieces of cheese and cheese, sausage or ham, cucumber, tomato, a slide of butter, a slide of jelly, a few olives. To all this, 2-3 large pieces of white, fried bread were brought for each. If you want something else or not enough - you need to pay extra. All this was tasty and satisfying enough, but these breakfasts seemed monotonous to my husband. Also, if we had dinner in this mehana, then we were given a 5% discount. A trifle, but nice. But if you compare it with other mehans in Bansko, then in “ours” it was tastier and the service was one of the best, and the prices were normal. The celebration of the New Year was in the same mechanic. Cost - 55 euros for each, we paid even when ordering a tour. The food was plentiful and delicious. Maybe rakia was not enough for someone, but it could be ordered additionally for an additional fee, like everything else. The cultural program was like everywhere else - according to rumors and stories of vacationers with whom we talked - Bulgarian music performed by live musicians.
The location of the hotel is a 5-minute walk from the "lift cabins" (gondola lift) and, practically, in the center. True, one of the hotel buildings overlooks a street with heavy traffic.
To sum up, we liked the hotel.
