In the town of Balchkik, everything is very simple, sincere, accessible, a little Soviet. But this does not spoil the overall impression at all.

The tourist season starts after June 15, before this date there are still few tourists, and a lot of things do not work. For example, the bus does not go to the Tuzlala mud bath, it is 8 km north of Balchik. But you can also get there by taxi. Mud bath - on a salt lake, concrete steps, wooden benches and a sandy beach with yellow umbrellas. All is clear. Every day, a man in a wetsuit and with a raft goes to the middle of the lake, collects therapeutic mud in buckets on the raft, then lays it out in enameled baths. The mud is heated in the sun, which enhances its healing properties, and you smear yourself with it.... You can spend at least a whole day there.... but you should not do this. Therapeutic effect of mud - no more than 45-50 minutes. No longer recommended.

In the city of Balchik, within walking distance, is the palace of the Romanian Queen Mary, which is located in the beautiful Botanical Garden. It is the largest and most beautiful in Eastern Europe, with waterfalls, well-groomed paths, elevation changes, beautiful landscape design, a huge number of interesting plants, roses, and an exhibition of cacti. Excursions are brought here from other resort cities.

Balchik is a simple ordinary resort for a relaxing holiday. No frills. No luxury hotels. There is music on the beach, but not as active as on Golden Sands. The whole resort life is on the waterfront, along the hotels. Prices are slightly cheaper than other resorts. The sea was warm and clean. But it is changeable in this area, and it can be cold and dirty. Who cares.

We took a car and drove everywhere we could. - Were at Cape Kaliakra, where Fyodor Ushakov defeated the Turkish fleet. It's interesting and beautiful. The sea there is azure, great depth and beautiful cliffs. Almost the only place on the Bulgarian Black Sea where ships could come close to the rocks without the risk of running aground....

We were in the old town of Nessebar - it's just a paradise for photographers. Authentic and unusual. Highly recommend ! Nessebar is the pearl of these places! If you come here --- Nessebar is definitely worth a visit.
