Expectations were not met
I prepared for the trip in advance, read information about the country on the Internet, looked at the sights and interesting cities. We went on our own without the involvement of a tour. firms together with a friend and two children, mine is 7 years old and her son is 6. We went by car, we booked the hotel on our own. The trip was long but fun. The whole problem was wandering around Romania for almost a day, and the reason for this was complete trust in the navigator, but in general everything went well and this is not the main thing. The hotel was chosen by three stars, but it was right on the beach, called Kaliope. I must say right away that it is better to choose / ask for a room in the right wing and not on the ground floor. On the first floor, the rooms stink terribly of dampness and there are clearly fungi and mold, it is unrealistic to be in the room. My daughter and I were lucky, we were settled in the right wing on the second floor, but a friend had to move from room to room for two days. At first they gave a room in the left wing and on the first floor, we refused it and she was moved to another room a little better, on the 1st floor they spent the night there. I had to go to the reception not only to quarrel, but to behave persistently and aggressively. The girls immediately pretend that they do not understand Russian, but I can explain in English, they are not native speakers, so there were no particular difficulties. As a result, they overpowered the girlfriend and her son to the second floor in the left wing, but the room was for smokers, so the smell was still the same, they ventilated every day and more than once. Albena is certainly not the resort I would like to go to. This is a purely hotel place, that is, a hotel complex and a couple of cafes and some other entertainment. In general, local flavor, dishes and other things were not enough for me. We went to Nessebar, a beautiful city, but somehow everything was running, the children were either hot, or drinking, or something else)))) Summary: guys who want to see Bulgaria, feel the flavor and try the local cuisine, do not go to Albena. Go to Nessebar, Sunny Beach and other resorts in this direction.
