Hotel ratings by criteria:
Stayed as a family of 4. mother, father and 2 children aged 7 and 13. We were in Bulgaria for the second time. First time in Bansko 2 years ago. The hotel is new, it pleased, everything is fresh, everything works almost flawlessly. The hotel stands almost in a spruce forest, so the view from the windows was on the forest, very nice and the air is fresh. Accommodation is fast. We had 2 standards connected by a door. The first time we went like this (usually they took an apartment), it also turned out to be very convenient. The rooms are large, but there is no hairdryer in the bathroom, each room has only one small closet and a chest of drawers, there was nowhere to put things. The hotel has a SPA with a sauna and a swimming pool for free, but for some reason it only works until 20-00. There was a disco in the hotel in the basement, they said the best in Borovets, there was also an erotic show, but I didn’t come for that and they prevented me from sleeping. The hotel stands almost on the outskirts of Borovets, but it is not far to go to the ski lifts, in the morning up the hill, in the evening down. Every day we went through a bunch of shops where prices do not bite. Now the cons: I wanted to take food only for breakfast, but the difference was not significant, so I took HB, went for breakfast and dinner, but the variety was lame, for breakfast the same thing every day, for dinner they varied a little hot, but everything is very poor. Drinks in the morning: one type of juice from the machine (apple), coffee, tea, etc. from the machine was barely warm and the water sometimes ran out, in the evening it was paid and it took a long time to wait. During the day we ate in restaurants and cafes, the resort is largely focused on the British, so there are plasmas with football and a lot of fast food everywhere, but we tried to eat traditional Bulgarian cuisine, it’s very tasty, the portions are large, you have to take one for two, otherwise you won’t leave the table . Skating. There are not very many trails at all (you can find maps on the sites), but there was still little snow and some of the trails were closed. We rode mainly in the Yastrebets ski area, there were many ice sections, people fell. The map of Borovets is here http://maps. google. ru/maps? hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=42.268203. 23.605134&spn=0.003358. 0.006899&t=h&z=17. Flight. For this special "thank you to Bulgarian Airlines". Delay for 6 hours due to the late arrival of the plane on departure from Moscow (Vnukovo) and 9 hours from Sofia, although in Sofia there was a fog like milk, the airport was practically closed, the plane was found and we were taken out, but why were they kept on the plane 3 hours is unclear. According to the captain of the ship, 16 people checked in their luggage and did not show up for boarding, so the luggage was unloaded from the plane and loaded again. They fed on board so that they would not die: ordinary water, coffee, tea and a bun with cheese and a leaf of lettuce. In general, holidays in Bulgaria are budgetary and not bad, but for some reason I don’t want more. It is better to go to Italy, there are mountains with more interesting and higher tracks and there is something to see.
