Review of the OLYMP hotel in Borovets Bulgaria. We rested in Borovets at the OLYMP hotel. received a lot of positive feedback. We traveled as a group of two families, four adults and two children. Having read reviews about the hotel before leaving, most of them were of course bad, the mood was not very good, but realizing that no one else would arrange a holiday for you, we went in a good mood. AT

flew out of Kyiv on time, Bobby met us, pleasant in all respects, brought us up to date, on the way to the hotel, what? , where? (driving about 1.5 hours). The only thing that alarmed us was his imposing skis on us. He convinced that there was nothing at the box office and that he would give us a good discount. We went with our own skis, only our daughters rented them, we thought we wouldn’t find it? They told Bob what to think. In Borovets itself, there are a lot of rentals and prices are approximately the same and cheaper than Bobi offered. But we still stopped at the rental in our hotel, it is very convenient.

About the location of the hotel, I think it is very good, most of the highways pass by the hotel. Pompous Rila, with its location, crazy noise and din and staggering crowds of people around the clock, does not count with our quiet OLYMP.

About the hotel. I walked all day and thought what could I not like about this hotel? Simple, clean, comfortable, nice staff, excellent food. We had a room without a balcony with an extra bed for a 9 year old daughter. Yes, small, but clean, cozy, with a TV, warm, on the second floor, towels were changed only when wet, cleaned every day, no tip was left to the cleaning lady. Took breakfast and dinner. Breakfast - scrambled eggs, three types of cold cuts, broccoli, fried and steamed sausages, hard cheese, feta cheese, fried chervil, honey, butter, boiled eggs, pastries, fruits, cucumbers and tomatoes, tea, coffee, cappuccino, UPI drink.
Dinner - two types of soups, cold cuts, cheeses, three types of meat, french fries, stewed potatoes, cheese baked in breadcrumbs, sausages, pastries, fruits, cucumbers and tomatoes, rice, five types of salad. The only thing for dinner was no drinks, had to buy. About the pool - we liked it.

Speaking of money - 100 USD. e. - 130 lev, 100 euros - 192 lev. Be careful when exchanging (many have a commission). On the facade of the exchange: 100 euros - 192 levs, inside 100 euros - 157 levs. Many just approached and asked how much it would be to exchange 30 euros for leva.

The number of trails and their length cannot even be compared with Slovakia. One of the trails for about 8 km (green) goes from Mount Musala directly to the RILA hotel through the OLYMP. A gondola lift pulls up this mountain. In addition, there are 15 ski lifts and two 4 chair lifts. Everyone rode on. After skiing in the pool - beauty, well, what else does a skier need.
New Year's dinner is a separate song - they invited us to 8 o'clock in the evening, cutting food, nuts, champagne, wine and some kind of incomprehensible swill 50 grams each. By 10 o'clock they served potatoes with meat, at one in the morning a cake. Songs and dances in the national style, later with a tape recorder.

I was pleased with the number of cozy bars and cafes in Borovets, I really liked the Black Cat cafe. Pleasant atmosphere, good cuisine, I don’t remember the names of the dishes, I recommend shish kebab on a sword (three types of meat with mushrooms). Another thing that struck me was the “barkers” near each cafe (it turns out they are on a payroll and their salary depends on the number of people drawn into the cafe). One got us so much that we constantly sent him. You Russians yelled, I see you don’t deceive me, come to us, Yuri Nikolayevich sings very well with us, come in tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, hunting, fishing, excursions.

Good location of hotels "OLYMP", "YANAKIEV", "ISE ANGELS", "RILA".
About prices: tea, juice - 2 leva, pizza - 8-15 leva, cheeseburger, sandwich - 8-10 lev, toilet - 1 lev, we bought and drank alcohol at the hotel for dinner (cheaper to buy in the market), french fries - 5-10 lev, soups - 7-12 lev. Prices in cafes depend on the distance from civilization (more expensive on the mountain).

A ticket for all lifts inclusive - all day - 55 lev, half a day from 12-00 - 18 lev, can be bought separately for a gondola - once - 9 lev, and also for other lifts.
They flew back with attempts for 10 hours in the airport lounge, the flight was delayed due to heavy fog.
I hope my advice will be useful to someone. Good luck on the tracks.
