A week ago I returned from sunny Bulgaria, I still can’t recover from such a wonderful vacation. Rested with a friend, we are 26 years old. It was the first time we went to this country and I think not the last time. The impressions are the most positive, and this, first of all, is connected with the hospitality of the Bulgarians, nowhere did they meet even a hint of rudeness. So everything in the rest was going smoothly and successfully, that I could not even believe that it could be so, especially after a ruined vacation in Egypt.
Now I will write in more detail about why we chose Bulgaria and directly about every day of our stay there.
Training
The main reasons why we chose Bulgaria:
1. After an unsuccessful trip to Egypt last year, I wanted to relax in a European country closer to us in spirit, but at the same time it would not be very expensive in terms of money.

2. No language barrier. We, unfortunately, are not polyglots, and communication on vacation is an important factor.
3. Bulgarians have a good attitude towards tourists, and especially towards Russians.
4. And, of course, a lot of positive reviews about Bulgaria.
So, when the country was chosen, the question arose about choosing a resort and a hotel. The popular Golden Sands and Sunny Beach immediately disappeared, since we went at the height of the season, and therefore the crowds of people on the beach are provided and, moreover, prices are 2 times higher than in less popular resorts. Chose mainly between Kranevo and Sozopol. In favor of Kranevo, the proximity of Varna, Albena and Golden Sands outweighed in case the village itself becomes boring (although in the end we were not bored there at all); as well as the proximity of the sights that we wanted to visit: the botanical garden in Balchik, Kaliakra, the stone forest.
The tour was ordered from the tour operator Intaer. They worked perfectly, everything was on time, without a hitch, we didn’t have to be nervous at all. At the price of the tour cost 16500r. from each (accommodation, breakfast, air flight, transfer) plus about 1400 rubles more. paid extra for the fuel surcharge and 1600r. for a visa.
Initially, we planned to travel on our own without a travel agency, because finding a private cottage in Bulgaria on the Internet is not difficult, in terms of money it would cost 6 thousand less, and in terms of quality it would be better than in 2-3 star hotels. But we had a hitch in the fact that we are not from Moscow, and therefore it would not be possible to make a visa on our own, we would still have to contact a travel agency, but in this case the visa would cost not 1600 rubles, but 4500, since the tour we didn't buy from them.
Therefore, the savings in this case are not significant and it was decided to go through a travel agency.
1 day
Road

So, the long-awaited day of departure has finally arrived. We went from Voronezh to Moscow by bus (it’s better to go by the TransReis bus, we got back on some other one, the difference is colossal), after 8 hours of travel at 4 in the morning we were at the Domodedovskaya metro station, from there for 500 rubles. took a taxi to the airport. A representative of Intaer with documents was already waiting for us there. Registration and controls went very quickly, there were no such crazy queues as in Turkey and Egypt, so we sat waiting for the plane for another 2 hours. Fortunately for us, the flight was not delayed and at 8.00 we soared over Moscow. We flew 2.5 hours; at Varna airport everything went much more quickly and at 12.00 we were already at the hotel. Check-in is at 14.00, but our room was already ready, so we settled in right away.
Hotel
The room turned out to be even better than I saw on the photo on the Internet: 2 single beds with new bedding, a refrigerator, TV with a Russian channel, a wardrobe, chairs, bedside tables, a toilet, a shower, in general, for 2 stars it’s very, very good (in Egypt in 4 stars the room was worse). As for the hotel itself, it has a very good location: a few minutes walk to the sea, and the main street is close, but still there is no such noise as in the hotels located directly on it. The hotel has 1 small pool, where children usually swim. Not every day, but there was animation, we didn’t go, I think it’s more for children.
Breakfast is a buffet, there were always 6-7 types of fruits, pastries, sausages, vegetables, eggs, pasta and so on. We had more than enough.
Of the staff, I liked the guys from the reception the most: all the boys and girls there are very nice, polite, smiling.
Kranevo
Despite the sleepless night on the road, we just left our things in the room and immediately went to the beach. It turned out to be just wonderful: fine sand, clean and warm water (25 degrees), the large length of the beach for such a small resort village makes it possible to disperse freely and not interfere with each other, although there were not so few people, especially on weekends.
In the evening we decided to take a sightseeing walk along the main street of Kranevo, which is very full of cafes and shops. There is no obsession, no one pulls by the hand into their shops.
Russian restaurant "Dune"

Thanks to the Internet, I had heard a lot about the Russian restaurant and its wonderful staff, so when "Dune" got in our way (and it is located almost at the end of the main street, opposite the "Krez" supermarket on the 2nd floor), we decided to stop there. The legendary waiter Dimcho simply exceeded our expectations: he perfectly manages to combine his main duties with the role of an entertainer and at the same time still manage to sing Russian songs. I immediately recall the words from the reviews of some vacationers: this is just a man-holiday, a man-show, who knows how to perfectly charge the audience with a good mood. Almost all subsequent evenings we spent there. One of the warmest memories of the whole trip remained about the "Dune".
2nd day
Until lunch, we lay on the beach, then we had a very rich excursion program. First, we walked along the beach to Albena and walked in it. Albena disappointed me somewhat. In the photo, the hotels looked nicer, but in fact, many of them are old, especially those on the 1st line. As for prices, they are indeed 2 times higher than in Kranevo, especially for food and drinks. In the evening, Radoslav, a young man from Varna, whom I met through the Internet, picked us up at the hotel.
We went to a place called "stone forest". An interesting place, the stones have very bizarre shapes and reach great heights. It is a pity that we arrived there already in the evening and did not manage to take a lot of pictures. On the way back, Radoslav showed us the nightlife of Varna. We left the car and went for a walk along the central pedestrian street, and then through the marine park. I was struck by the number of walking people, even on a weekday there are a lot of people and mostly local residents, tourists are more likely to meet here during the day. At the end of the evening, we sat in a cafe on the seashore and Radoslav took us back to the hotel, very tired, but satisfied and happy.
3rd day
It was raining and cloudy in the morning, so we decided that this was not the best day for going to the beach and left for Varna for the whole day. Buses to Varna run every hour, cost 4 leva. You can also go with private carriers, the cost is 5 leva. In Varna we reached the cathedral and from there we went for a walk along the pedestrian street, where there are a great many cafes and shops. We walked around the marine park, visited the dolphinarium. The cost of the entrance ticket is 20 lev. We returned to Kranevo by taxi, the cost was 20 levs.

In the evening we had a lot of fun in the "Dune" and tasted delicious Bulgarian wine. After the fair-haired restaurant, we also went to the Azamonka club. I didn’t really like it there: there were almost no people, and I’m not a big fan of club music.
4th day
It's almost a lost day of rest. All day long my head ached terribly after a large amount of wine tasted. We bought a little and sunbathed, and so we spent most of the day lying in the room until we let go. Only in the evening we were able to go to Golden Sands. We traveled with Radoslav by car, and so you can easily get there by bus that goes to Varna. Golden Sands and Kranevo, of course, heaven and earth. But I'm glad I chose Kranevo. In Golden Sands it's nice to occasionally take a walk for a change, but I would not want to live there all the days of rest. There are a lot of people on the embankment in the evening, the beach strip is narrow, I can’t even imagine where the whole mass of people is located there.
5th - 8th day
There were days of lazy rest: from morning to evening they lay on the beach, and in the evening either in a Russian restaurant or with Radoslav in Varna.
9th day
We went to Cape Kaliakra. It is very beautiful there, the view from the cliff to the sea is simply amazing, I so wanted to swim there, it's a pity it's unrealistic. It is better to go to the cape when it is cooler. We walked there in the heat for 2 hours, quite tiring, although for the sake of such beauty you can endure. As soon as we managed to return from Kaliakra, it started to rain, and it was very rather big and poured all night. Therefore, it was the first evening in Bulgaria when I didn’t go out for a walk and fell asleep at ten o’clock.
10th day

Early in the morning we went on foot to Albena, and from there we took the bus to the botanical garden of Balchik. I liked the garden no less than Cape Kaliakra. The palace of the Romanian Queen, located in the botanical garden, did not arouse much interest, but the garden itself is very beautiful and it is clear that it is carefully looked after. Most of all I remember giant cacti, a rose garden, magnolias, a beautiful pond with water lilies. We also got back by bus to Albena, and there, after changing to a bus going to Golden Sands, we reached Kranevo.
Day 11
We spent the whole day warming ourselves on the beach of sunny Bulgaria, enjoying the last days of our stay there.
day 12
The saddest day, because I really did not want to leave Bulgaria. At seven in the evening we were picked up from the hotel, then for about 1 hour we drove around Golden Sands and the resort of St. Constantine and Elena. I already wrote about Sands, and as for St. Constantine and Helena, I liked the resort itself, a lot of greenery, calmly unlike Sands, but this is clearly not a youth resort, I think when I retire I will definitely go there; And so for young people who love fun, but do not like large crowds of people, there is no better place in Bulgaria than Kranevo!
If someone has questions about Bulgaria, write, I will be happy to answer them.
