BULGARIA, NESSEBR-RAVDA, IVETA mini-hotel, July 2010
Rested with his family (wife and 2-year-old child) in the mini-hotel "IVETA", located on the street. Nessebar, connecting Nessebar and Ravda. As a landmark: "IVETA" is located across the street from the 5-star expensive hotel "Nessebar Palace" (there is $ 200 per day for a double room), near the hotel "Del Mar".
The location of the hotel is convenient: it is a little away from the noisy center of New Nessebar, and is located directly opposite the beach "Academica 2000" (in Nessebar and Ravda there are 2 more beaches, but "Academica 2000", in my opinion, the best: clean sand , clear sea, shower, locker room, beach width 30 meters, length about 1km, there are 150 meters of beach without umbrellas and sunbeds, which are expensive in Bulgaria - $ 4 for an umbrella and the same for each sunbed). In New Nessebar, the beach is also well-groomed, but without a shower, there are a lot of people and everything is filled with expensive umbrellas and sunbeds. In Old Nessebar the beach is small.

There are 2 more good beaches in Ravda, but it smells like seaweed.
Who wants to go for a walk - to the center of New Nessebar - 2 km, to the beautiful Old Nessebar - 3 km, to the noisy youth Sunny Beach - 5 km, to the water park - 2 km. In New Nessebar there is a park with children's swings, there are carousels.
In "IVETA" a room for 2 adults in June, July and September costs $ 20 per day (30 Bulgarian levs), in August - $ 24 (36 levs). Accommodation for children is free. Parking for hotel guests is free (in Nessebar, parking costs $ 7, and parking is not allowed on the streets - it will take a tow truck and a fine of $ 34). Rooms are new (the hotel is only 2 years old), respectively, new furniture. All rooms have a shower, toilet, hot water 24 hours a day, refrigerator, TV, balcony. On the 4th floor are large rooms and with a large terrace overlooking the sea. Surprisingly, the price per room there is the same as for smaller rooms. The hotel has no official stars, but firmly pulls on 2 * by European standards.
There would be air conditioners - it would be possible to give 3 * (by Turkish and Egyptian standards, you can give 4 *). By the way, the owners were going to install air conditioners ("air conditioner" - in Bulgarian), so maybe they have already installed them.
If you like silence - it is better to take a room overlooking the mountain and the field, rather than the pool, because the pool until the night (or even at night) like to swim. The quietest room is on the 4th floor overlooking the mountain.
The owners of the hotel are a friendly family (both 55 years old): the husband is Bulgarian, the wife is Macedonian. The hotel is mostly occupied by his wife, she understands Russian, though not all. Finally, you can always get along, because they are always trying to please hotel guests.

Next to "IVETA" there are many quality and inexpensive cafes and restaurants. We often preferred the one located 200m. restaurant at the 3 * hotel "Cantilena". The food there is always delicious, friendly waitresses, reasonable prices (evenings for 2 - $ 14-20).
In general, in Bulgaria we are the 4th time (previously we were in Kranevo near the Golden Sands and Albena), were also in expensive 5 * hotels in Tunisia, Egypt, Turkey, so there is something to compare. I really enjoyed this year in Bulgaria. Nessebar-Ravda has large beaches, cool, clean, warm sea, comfortable for children (smooth sunset), beautiful sand. There are a lot of people, but there is enough space for everyone, they do not sit on their heads. Entrance to the beach is free. Sea cafe shock at hotels, deliciously prepared, very moderate (at least at the Kiev and Crimean levels) prices. Everywhere there is an atmosphere of relaxation, no one touches anyone. In July, the air temperature was 28-35, and the water somewhere 22-25 degrees. And all this at a very reasonable cost: living with quality food for 2 adults per day cost about $ 50 (in Ukraine at sea for such money, even decent housing without food is difficult to find).
In New Nessebar there is a supermarket "Youth", where food and water are much cheaper than in small shops.
If you need a connection - you can buy cards from local mobile operators Globul or M-Tel, explaining to sellers that you need packages with cheap calls between them. Roaming with Bulgarian operators is expensive. Taxis are also expensive, but there are regular buses. Taxis from the airport are expensive (ask € 50), so we advise you to arrange a transfer with the hotel owners - it will be much cheaper.
You need to be careful with the exchange of money and change it only in banks (in New Nessebar is "ProCreditBank") or in exchanges "Crown Change" (symbol - the crown), in small exchanges often fool the exchange rate and take large commissions. Exchanges and tow trucks are the only unpleasant moments that are easy to avoid.
