The rooms are bright and spacious with large windows. The room has everything you need and a little more. The shower and toilet are also spacious. All equipment is brand new and works great. Nowhere there is no unpleasant smell, no feeling of wear, attrition. The combination of elements of an old mill in the interior and modern sculptures and paintings looks interesting. In general, fresh, modern, and at the same time surprisingly calm. In the evenings, there is always pleasant live music, but we didn’t hear it in the room, so we slept well, nothing interfered with it. Once only in the restaurant they celebrated a wedding, and we heard fireworks. Great restaurant downstairs. Great view of the old city, shade, breeze. Just take care of food from seagulls) Products for breakfast are fresh. No frills, as always at breakfast, but overall the restaurant is very good. We dined there for our own money and were more than satisfied. Even dry rations for the tour pleasantly surprised us. Once again I emphasize that the location of the hotel is very convenient. It is located at the intersection of the old and new parts of the city, as well as the road to the city beach. Walk to the beach for 5-7 minutes, the old town is within easy reach. Of the minuses - insufficient lighting in the room, it was a bit dark in the evenings. But anyway, I recommend it. If I am in Nessebar again, I will definitely stay here.

There are no comments to the hotel itself, but I will not go to Bulgaria anymore, I have already lost the habit of such crowds on a small patch of sand. For the general development, it was worth the trip, and the children liked it. We rode on a pirate ship with "sea battle" water and funny pirate contests, went to a Bulgarian village - also interesting. Old Nessebar is a town-souvenir shop, it's nice to walk around and see.

A very romantic old town of Nessebar. The view from the room resembled a view from a postcard - Nice... Snow-white boats against the backdrop of the sea... in general, the rest was very successful. And the day of the city turned out to be fabulous and with an unforgettable fireworks from the ships from the sea.
Everything in the hotel is good except cleanliness. . . They don't improve. . . The rooms are dirty, and the linen is all washed out and the towels are terrible. . .

The hotel staff is very friendly, they easily found a common language even with those who did not speak Russian. As for breakfast - so-so, you can drink coffee with a bun, although we have repeatedly observed how a Muscovite family quietly stuffed full bags with these sausages and fried eggs, they probably really liked breakfast : ))) The only thing that I didn’t like about the hotel was that in the dining room and in the hall for some reason they didn’t even wash the floor for a whole week, there was garbage on the floor, but otherwise everything is OK, and the place is not at all noisy, despite the fact that the hotel is near the road, after 23-00 there is generally silence all around.

This year I chose Menabria, I read a lot of good reviews. I didn't like it. . . Yes, the place is beautiful, but admiring the old Nessebar is one thing, and it's hard to live in a constant roar. I explain: from the global inconvenience - the hotel stands between two busy highways, the roar is incredible, and this is the problem of all rooms. The balcony overlooked the parking lot - the whole day the squeak of the alarm, the noise of cars, the tow truck. All night the music rumbles, I suspect from the disco on the beach. You can, of course, close the balcony and turn on the air conditioner. At the reception, one does not understand Russian at all, and arrogantly asked if I knew English... They didn’t want to change my number, although I explained that I didn’t sleep for several nights, they said that in the next few days and so for two weeks. A lot has already been written about poor nutrition, nothing has changed.
There are no dryers on the balconies, people hang wet rags in all directions.
The room was well cleaned, no complaints here.
On the south beach, the fundraiser did not give tickets with a date, but made you leave a towel if you leave and plan to return. I still demanded tickets from him, but I didn’t set the date, and if I returned, I said that the ticket was yesterday’s! Since July 1, prices for sun loungers and umbrellas have been raised one and a half to two times. Now two deck chairs and a good umbrella cost 15 euros. . . A worse umbrella (bamboo) and deck chairs cost a little over 10 euros.
As for Nessebar, it is invariably beautiful!
The restaurants recommended in the reviews are great! Let me remind you, "Waterfall", "Southern Bryag" and a grill restaurant across the street from the "Waterfall".
Products are bought in the supermarket "Mladost". You can call home from red automatic machines with cashiers, it’s better in a new city, in the old one they defame something with prices.
A good money changer across the street from Menabria is the bank and at the entrance to the Old City is on the right without entering the city.
The exchange rate in these exchanges: 1 euro - 1.95-1.93
1 dollar - 1.37
And yet, the cry of the soul - guys, do not play with crabs! When I arrived, they were everywhere, but the children caught them, with the blessing of their parents, played, and in the evening the shore was strewn with dead crabs. One girl in my presence caught three in a few minutes, when I asked why they were for her, she was indignant, "I don't tear their heads off! " But after such toys they die from stress. In the second week of rest, I almost stopped seeing them crawling along the bottom.
That's it. Have a nice summer!
I went through the Alma-Tour operator - they work great!
There are offices in Kyiv, Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Baltic States.

My husband and I prefer to take vacations in August, but this year, under the pressure of personal circumstances, we decided to break the already established traditions and go on vacation in September (from 5th to 19 September 2008). I wanted to go to some not very "popular", but comfortable place. So that there are fewer compatriots, cheaper prices, well, and so that the benefits are for the "soul" and body : ) We hesitated for a long time between Romania and Bulgaria, in the end, the nostalgic memories of a loved one about a youthful trip to Bulgaria and more than discreet reviews about the delights of Romanian resorts helped make the right decision for us : ) Choosing a hotel, I once again trusted the reviews of "experienced" on "Turpravda" and my choice fell on "Menabria" - a quiet hotel located in a good location, overlooking the sea and all that. … More ▾ My husband and I prefer to take vacations in August, but this year, under the pressure of personal circumstances, we decided to break the already established traditions and go on vacation in September (from 5th to 19 September 2008). I wanted to go to some not very "popular", but comfortable place. So that there are fewer compatriots, cheaper prices, well, and so that the benefits are for the "soul" and body : ) We hesitated for a long time between Romania and Bulgaria, in the end, the nostalgic memories of a loved one about a youthful trip to Bulgaria and more than discreet reviews about the delights of Romanian resorts helped make the right decision for us : )
Choosing a hotel, I once again trusted the reviews of "experienced" on "Turpravda" and my choice fell on "Menabria" - a quiet hotel located in a good location, overlooking the sea and all that. Surprisingly, it turned out that it was not so easy to find a ticket to "Menabria" in Kiev, in the end we succeeded with the help of the travel agency "Widershtral" (Kyiv).
Arriving at the place of settlement, we were once again convinced of the truthfulness and objectivity of the "Turpravdov" reviews. : ) The hotel is located right at the isthmus leading to the Old Town, it takes 10 minutes to reach the city's Non-Serbian beaches, it takes 20-30 minutes to get to the beaches of Solnechny coast.
We got a spacious room - from the window you could see the sea and Sunny Beach, and if you go out onto the balcony, you could see Old Nessebar and the excavations of a no less old necropolis. By the way, someone here wrote about the "inner courtyard" of the hotel - and so, this courtyard is no longer there, instead there is a deserted territory with excavated graves of the "-eleventh" year BC in which from 9 to 6 ( except for weekends) enthusiastic archaeologists are poking around : ) So, going out onto the balcony, we mentally sympathized with the neighbors, whose windows overlooked even a very old, but still a cemetery : (
The bathroom in the room is more than modest, but spacious: a shower with a tile edge instead of a pallet (without a curtain), a washbasin, a toilet bowl, a hairdryer - everything was written before me. In the room: TV (there is an RTR-planet), a small empty refrigerator, a table, a mirror, a folding chair, two bedside tables. In the hallway there is a hanger and a spacious wardrobe. There was a plastic table and two chairs on the balcony. So we often went out to the balcony to drink wine. LOVED the cleaning of the rooms. The maid worked like clockwork, changed towels daily, bedding was changed every 2-3 days. And when a sudden cold snap came, an additional heater was carefully installed in our room, without any additional requests : ) We left a small tip to the maid every day - we just wanted to thank the person for a good job. By the way, Bulgaria is the only place I have visited where they thanked us for the tip, and also tried in every possible way to “work it out”. We have become accustomed to the fact that the service staff takes the "tip" for granted. In Nessebar, I sometimes got the impression that the "interest" left on the table perplexed and even upset the waiter (and it was clear that it was not the "size" of the tip that was upsetting, but their very presence).
I return to the description of the hotel: the hotel has a small swimming pool, with sun loungers around, and a bar near the pool. The bar was not crowded, and also around the pool, until a multi-storey ferry landed numerous "Scandinavian troops" off the coast of Nessebar : )) To store cash and documents, we rented a safe at the reception (5 leva per day). There is Wi-Fi in the hotel lobby. In general, I liked everything in the hotel... EXCEPT BREAKFASTS. Breakfasts are simply disgusting and terribly monotonous, even if the plates were changed in places or something, otherwise for 14 days the same thing, in the same places : (. The choice of dishes is not rich: melon, watermelon, buns, croissants, cucumbers -tomatoes, one kind of "kashkaval" (hard cheese), one kind of "syrene" (brynza), soy sausage, soy sausages, scrambled eggs (burnt, absolutely inedible), poached, just boiled eggs, jam. Yogurt is absent as a class, instead juice - “yuppies". In general, those who like to eat fruit for breakfast were more or less satisfied. I like something more substantial for breakfast, so I mostly ate eggs... After a week, it seemed to me that I would crow : ( But in general, the problem of nutrition was not acute. We usually dined in the Old Town, since there are many cafes and eateries for every taste and pocket, and we bought "dinner" for ourselves at the "Mladost" supermarket on "Otets Paisiy" street; this is the "largest" supermarket in Nessebar We also found a small grocery store on St. Cyril and Methodius, a small supermarket on the way to the beaches - the hotel complex "Vigo"... There are also mini-markets in the Old Town, but the prices are higher there.
I really liked the town itself. And I liked both parts of it - both the old and the new : ) Everything is very comfortable, clean and somehow family-like, especially in the new city, where there are fewer tourists.
The beaches in Nessebar are small, but, as our guide from the Alma Tour host said, "you can swim everywhere", and this is true. Some swam right by the road, sunbathing on large stones.
Beaches.
The beaches are free, you have to pay "for services" - that is, for an umbrella and a sunbed (from 5 to 10 leva, depending on the type of sunbed and the owner of the "protected area"). Most of the beaches are "guarded", but there is one caveat - they are "guarded" only from 9 to 6 pm, and then lifeguards leave the beach and everything is already "unguarded" and, accordingly, free : ) the day we "bought" an umbrella for 7 leva, and since we are more "cupants" than "tanners" by nature, it did not make sense for us to sit on the beach all day, we threw a towel under the umbrella and went to wander around the neighborhood... We returned for hours by 5, the towel was in place and no one took the place itself. : ) There is also an "unguarded" beach in Nessebar, you will find it by going through a series of "guarded" ones towards Ravda: at the very end of the beach strip there is a wild beach, mostly Bulgarians themselves sunbathe on it, and nudists huddle under the very hill. : ) Despite the "wildness" and "unguarded" nature of this beach, it is still under the scrutiny of local lifeguards. And when the sea is stormy, the absence of a "red flag" on a wild beach does not guarantee you the absence of pumped-up guys on it, whistling out the vacationers frolicking in the waves. : )
It seemed interesting to me that the majority of Bulgarian women from 8 to 80, regardless of complexion and marital status, prefer to relax on the "topless" beach. In the order of things to see on the beach a portly "matron" without a bra, surrounded by young children and her husband, or a shriveled old woman, in which, in addition to bikini panties, only a faded Panama hat is worn... : )))
City beaches in Nessebar are sandy, but fans of pebble beaches can "nostalgic" on the beach of the Old Town. It is small, dirty, a lot of algae on the shore, the bottom is rocky there "a la New World"... But this is for VERY big haters of sand, because the sea there is as shallow as on a sandy beach, and crawling belly on well, very persistent people can afford stones, maneuvering between jellyfish 20 meters to a depth : ) I tried it once - I didn’t really like it... Although the bottom there is beautiful, if you dive with goggles - there is something to see : )
Most vacationers drive or go (we did) to the beaches of Sunny Beach. To be honest, in Sunny Beach, the quality of beaches is much higher, the beaches are more spacious, the system is the same - a fee for "services" on a protected beach, and the sea is free : ) There are also free areas in Sunny Beach - they are randomly located. You just have to walk along the surf and look out for "islands" without umbrellas on the beach : ) Personally, we chose the "unguarded" territory in the area of u200bu200bthe Dolphin boarding house : ) Buses run to Sunny Beach - bus stops in the Old Town, how much does it cost I remember that you can also drive up to the beach on a decorative "train" - the cost of this "attraction" is 5 leva. The train stops near the mill in front of Old Nessebar.
Excursions.
Excursions can be bought from a representative of the host travel agency. You can easily buy excursions right in the city, so it will even come out a little cheaper. We bought an excursion to Sozopol from our guide, and decided to go to Sofia on our own.
There are two ways to get to Sofia from Nessebar: take a bus to Burgas, and then go from Burgas to Sofia by train, or take a regular bus directly from Nessebar. We chose the second way. Buses run from the bus station located in Old Nessebar. There are two carrier companies - "Kalea" and "Metro", they have slightly different routes and schedules, as well as the price of a ticket. We went to Sofia by "Kalea" - 32 leva for a ticket, and back by bus "Metro" - 36 leva. To be honest, the bus ride is quite exhausting, especially at night.
The excursion to Sozopol was a little disappointing, because we expected something more "ancient", "Greek"... It turned out that there is much more "Greek" in Nessebar : ) Sozopol itself is a pretty town, but it is painfully similar to Nessebar - almost and the same thing, the same peninsula and the same houses : ) But I really liked the excursion along the mountain river Ropotamo, which was in the "set" : ) Also as an "entertainment" we WALKED in the city of St. we were 3 hours away, we got back to Sunny Beach in 10 minutes by bus (2 leva) : ) I would recommend Saint Vlas to those who like to sunbathe, the sun beats mercilessly there, there are almost no trees - you can get a portion of the tan "automatically", just wandering around town.
Weather.
Of course, we took a risk by going on vacation, albeit early, but in the fall. From the 5th to the 13th of September there was wonderful, sunny weather - the sea is warmest, the sun, although hot, is not evil. In general - beauty. But on September 14th it got so suddenly cold that we ran and bought ourselves some jackets! After that, the weather deteriorated, we can say completely. The air temperature dropped by 5 degrees, but in the afternoon the sun came out and the water in the sea was still warm. So the last week of our vacation we were still swimming, despite the fact that we came to the beach in jackets : ))
In general, I really liked Bulgaria. Although, of course, not everything is good and wonderful there, and the road from Burgas to Nessebar is strewn not with roses, but with plastic and paper bags, and in Sunny Beach gypsies will pester you... But the most valuable thing in Bulgaria is the Bulgarians themselves, mostly friendly, hospitable, humorous people who are sincerely glad to see you : )
Such a great review turned out... I hope that those who read to the end will not consider their time wasted : ) I wish you all interesting trips and pleasant impressions!

Thanks to the girls from Travel Time for the good work - from booking a hotel, to visas and plane tickets, everything was 5. We flew on “Bulgarian Airlines”, there we sat for an hour on the plane because of the passengers who refused to fly, back - everything was on time . At the Burgas airport we were met by a representative of Alma tour. We were quickly taken to the hotels on a good bus. We liked Menabria. The Alma tour representative came the next day and regularly appeared there every other day. The location of the hotel is the best - the beach is not far, the shops of the new Nessebar are nearby and the Old Town is within 10 minutes walking distance. From any room there is a view of the sea. At first we lived on the 2nd floor (the water in the bathroom did not flow well), and after a few days we were moved to a more spacious room on the third floor. The room was spacious, with a window and a balcony. The rooms have air conditioners but we turned them off and didn't use them at all. Due to the fact that the hotel is located on a windy place, and not on a narrow street in the city center, there has never been an exhausting heat. At night, however, the music from the attractions located on the road to Sunny Beach was quite well heard. The small refrigerator located in the room was very helpful - there was enough space for water and fruit. On the 3rd floor there was a very pleasant maid - always friendly, cleaned well, changed towels every day, and bed linen every 2-3 days. We only had breakfast at the hotel. Every day different sausages, buns, cheese, scrambled eggs, eggs, watermelon, melon and awesome bannitsa. This is such a Bulgarian pastry, there are many different types of them for sale. Restaurants, cafes there is a sea. From what I liked and where I was more than once - Yuzhen Bryag and Seagull right above the beach, Bulgarian cuisine on the street. Kraiberezhna of Old Nessebar. In the first two there are always a lot of visitors, but the service is very fast and the food is delicious. At Seagull, all visitors are given small free cocktails (even children -= non-alcoholic, of course). A trifle, but nice! By the way, if you see an empty restaurant somewhere, and next to it filled to the brim - this is no accident. Somehow we got caught up in this. We were the only visitors, and the food was cooked for us for 40 minutes. Then they brought a cloudy cold broth with two veins and no vegetables instead of meat soup, and ice-cold spaghetti.
Beaches near Menabria. Closer wild beach, a little further beach with paid umbrellas and sun loungers. In the morning we went to a wild beach, and in the evening, when we no longer had to pay for anything, we went to a paid one.
In the evenings it is nice to stroll along Old Nessebar. A wonderful old town with churches, cobbled streets, pretty houses. I can advise there a restaurant for parents with children on the street. Krayberezhna. It's called Bulgarian Cuisine (there is an advertisement for the Neva travel agency at the entrance). The veranda offers a beautiful view of the sea, Sunny Beach and right next to the tables there is a small playground (mini-slide, rocking elephant, cars, cubes). So the process of waiting for an order is greatly facilitated - the child does not whine, does not fidget, but plays on the playground, and parents can breathe easy. And they cook delicious food there.
We did not go on numerous excursions, because. I didn't want to bore the child. Were in the water park in Sunny Beach. I liked it, but in the morning the water even in the children's pools is ice cold there. It warms up only in the evening and becomes like fresh milk. Time flies by unnoticed. We went to Burgas on our own, but the city did not make any impression.
In general, we had a wonderful rest.
