Having visited Sunny Beach last year, this year we again decided to cherish in Bulgaria. But I wanted to change the noisy resort to something more peaceful, so the choice fell on Obzor.
Obzor is a small resort town belonging to the Varna region. The town is residential, in which the Bulgarians themselves live, in contrast to Sunny Beach, where there are only hotels and tourists.
Obzor is a family resort where the bulk of vacationers are young couples with children. And it should be noted that the prices in the Obzor for everything are 2p lower than the prices in Sunny Beach.
There's a pretty decent market in the city center that sells everything from panties to silverware. This year the "hit" of the season is children's with Kitty and adult Ed Hardy (of course, not real : ), but the prices are different).

Hotel Luka Helios Beach is located on the outskirts of the city (to the city center from the hotel 8 minutes walk). The hotel is a 4-ka, which absolutely corresponds to its star rating. It is located right on the seashore, which is doubly pleasant when the Sea View room : )
-ROOM-
We had a standard room with a sea view, for two adults + a child 4 years old. Room Pts spacious, tidy, with a good repair, a decent bathroom (there is a shower cabin) and, most importantly, with air conditioning! The room has two spacious beds for adults put together, a folding wide chair for a child, a table with an armchair, a TV, a built-in refrigerator, a table, and a large wardrobe for storing things. On the balcony, 2 chairs + a table, and a clothes dryer are standard.
-BATHROOM-
The bathroom is of decent plumbing, with a good shower cabin, constant hot water. A mirror and shelves for storing personal belongings, of course, are available.
-CONNECTION-
The hotel has internet, 4 levs per hour, 2 levs for half an hour. But with an unrealistically uncomfortable keyboard, the letters are Russian, but they are not located at all in our layout, typing is mega inconvenient. There is wi-fi. There is a telephone in the room, it is expensive to call, for 2 calls for 3-4 minutes we paid 18 leva - 36 thousand of our money. Calling from the city is much cheaper. well, and we used roaming, because the phone was not particularly relevant.
-STAFF-
The staff is absolutely consistent with their 4 *. Upon arrival at the reception, we were poured juice from the road : ), they offered to sit down, and the doorman took the suitcases to the room. Towels are changed every other day, if necessary more often, as elsewhere, throw them on the floor and change more often. Likewise with bed linen. Everything is taken away perfectly.
At the reception, not everyone speaks Russian, but everyone speaks English.
-NUTRITION-
Meals - all inclusive. But I would rather call breakfast-lunch-dinner. Because in the lobby during the day only sandwiches, ham, cheese, sometimes fruit. Alcohol and drinks until 24h. Bottled drinking water can be taken at the reception in any quantity. Real juices, real milk.

No complaints about the quality of the food. Everything is always fresh, quite tasty, but every few days everything is repeated.
Breakfast: muesli, several types of cereal, dried fruits, scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausages, sausages, vegetables, cheeses, fruits, coffee, tea, pastries, juices, drinks.
Lunch: several meat dishes (pork, beef), pasta, rice, potatoes, pizza, ice cream, pastries, alcohol, vegetables, fruits (watermelon, peeled melon, peaches, nectarines, bananas, grapes, plums), salads, sauces, potatoes fries.
Dinner: the same as for lunch.
They hold themed dinners several times, that is, for example, Italian cuisine - and there are all dishes from Italian cuisine, plus Italian alcohol, Bulgarian cuisine.
And most importantly - you can take food with you. Of course, we did not become impudent, but we always took fruits and pastries with us.
And yet - no fuss, there is always a place, in the evening everyone has a certain table, there is always food! enough.
-CONTINGENT-
70% of vacationers are Russian-speaking, which personally upset me. Most are Russians, fewer Ukrainians and Belarusians.
Germans, Romanians, and Bulgarians in small numbers.
-ANIMATION-
Every day, except Monday, the kindergarten is open from 10 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 4 pm. Animators with children sculpt, draw, glue, play on the street, in general, it is quite interesting for them. In the evening at 20.30 children's disco followed by a program for adults. Animation in Bulgarian.
-SWIMMING POOL-
Bassena 2, adult and children. Always clean. Warm water. There is a bar in the pool, chairs right in the water : ) Around the pool there are free sunbeds and umbrellas.
***Beaches and Sea***
The beach is right next to the hotel. We can say clean, you can always find a free sunbed. 5lev sunbed and 5lev umbrella.
There is a free beach nearby, where everyone lies on towels, and there are no sunbeds.
On the beach, sellers of corn, ice cream, and donuts are constantly walking.
***Money***

It doesn't matter if you bring money in dollars or euros. The hotel has an exchange office with a good exchange rate. In the city a little more for a couple of hundred. In no case do not change money at the airport, there is a terribly low exchange rate.
-ROAD-
From Obzor to Burgas, the road runs through a serpentine, not terrible at all, traffic jams there are more annoying. There is no serpentine from Varna to Obzor.
