Hey! I would like to share my impressions of a vacation in Bulgaria in Sunny Beach, where, by the way, I went for the first time.
Vouchers were taken through a travel agency back in March, and therefore I secured a 20% discount for myself. Initially, we did not plan a “quiet” vacation, so we booked a place in the Baikal 3 * hotel - 2 adults + a child 11 years old free of charge. Here is the location of the hotel: http://www. wikimapia. org/#lat=42. 6860239&lon=27.7115643&z=17&l=0&m=b&v=8&show=/1909552/Hotel-Baikal
It would be possible to take all inclusive, but again, since we did not plan a "quiet" holiday, we did not want to be tied to the hotel for the whole day. I will add, later it turned out that this was a very correct decision. A few words about the choice of hotel.

Having suffered for a month, comparing the offers of a bunch of agencies, we stumbled upon the “wikimapia” service on the endless expanses of the Internet and began to choose a hotel by location - not very far from the center, better closer to Nessebar, the second coastline (in the room we basically only slept - so I don’t see the point in overpaying for a sea view! ) , well, we didn’t want to stomp on the beach for a long time!
Well, let's go on vacation!
On June 16, boarding a comfortable bus (scania - I don't remember the model! ), we heroically overcame 4 customs (Moldova - Romania - Romania - Bulgaria) and 16 hours (!!! ) distance safely arrived at our destination. On the road, I advise you to take the currency of those countries through which you will pass in the amount of coffee, tea, water, since from time to time you will stop at gas stations - cafes. In Sunny Beach, the host took us to the hotels. In our hotel we were placed immediately (see there were empty seats).
The staff at the reception is young, they understand Russian poorly, English, German - as much as you like. Separately, about the location of the room - the windows faced the opposite side of the sea - we appreciated this only in the morning, when everyone wakes up from the sun at 7 am and we lie in bed until 9! The beauty! Breakfast buffet tired us for 3 days. 2 types of scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausages, pate, tomatoes, cucumbers, toast, milk, cereal and so on every day! The main feature of breakfast is pancakes, which are baked right there, in front of you. True, there was always a queue for pancakes! Another plus is that they don’t steal at the hotel (of course, they didn’t leave money in plain sight), though until you give a tip to the cleaner, the towels won’t be changed. We changed towels almost every day, bedding 2 times. And according to the rules of towels once every 3 days, bedding once every 7 days. Tipping every 2 days for 2 leva.
I will especially mention the currency exchange!
This has already been said probably 100 times, but I personally saw how a woman was heated in an exchanger with a high rate. Pay attention - there is a buy rate (buy) and a sell rate (sale). At the resort, euros are bought at 1.91 - 1.92 leva per euro. In Burgas, the rate is higher - 1.94 -1.95, so if you go - keep in mind!

In the morning, after breakfast, while the rest of Europe conscientiously splashed in the pool, we moved to the sea. On the beaches in Sunny Beach there are 2 zones from the water for ten meters - municipal, paid, then - free. Paid umbrella - 7 leva, sunbed - 7 leva. For free, go with your umbrella (can be bought for 10-15 leva in the city). Taken for 7 levs, an umbrella or sunbed is kept for you all day. You can leave for lunch and return under your umbrella. On the beaches, the sand is clean (I myself saw how the equipment sifts the sand in the evening), the water was clear, almost like in the Crimea. Before lunch, we practically did not get out of the water.
On the entertainment beach, a banana - 10 leva per person (by the way, they ride it carefully, they don’t turn anyone over), a jet ski - 25l for 10 minutes, a catamaran - 25l - 30 minutes, a large inflatable cake for 3-4 people - 40-50- leva for the whole cake, parachute - 50l - ride for 10-15 minutes. Before skating, they are forced to sign a paper that in which case it has nothing to do with it, and you still owe them money! ! How! I don’t remember the whole text, I remember exactly that for a collision in the sea on a motorcycle with someone or something, you owe them 500 leva.
After swimming to our heart's content, we would either go directly to lunch or go for a walk in search of a new place to eat. If you want to find an inexpensive cafe with good food, follow the golden rule - look for where the Bulgarians eat. The cheapest cafe we could find is behind the Pelican Hotel. http://www. wikimapia. org/#lat=42. 6939336&lon=27.7087292&z=19&l=0&m=b&v=8&search=palace

It works on the principle of our canteens - you pick up food at the distribution, pay and go with a tray to eat in the hall.
The three of us managed to dine for 12 leva! And that's with beer and drinks! The only negative is that the waitresses do not understand Russian at all. But if you point your finger, they will definitely understand. If you really want to eat - welcome to the restaurant "Chouchoura" http://www. wikimapia. org/#lat=42. 6881059&lon=27.7065593&z=18&l=0&m=b&v=8&show=/20103969/Chouchoura-restaurant&search=palace

There, for 10 leva per person, a buffet lunch with beer and water. The choice of food is good enough. True, the beer is diluted, however, as elsewhere in hotels with an all-inclusive system. Savings so to speak! In general, there should be no problems with food. There are a lot of cafes everywhere, the portions are healthy. For example - near the bazaar At a figurative intersection - there are 2 cafes where half a chicken with a side dish is served for 6.5 leva. Enough for three. http://www. wikimapia. org/#lat=42. 6844939&lon=27.7090806&z=18&l=0&m=b&v=8&search=palace
Must-see places in Sunny Beach:
1. Water park. There are 2 of them. One in Nessebar, one in Sunny Beach. It probably doesn't matter, I like Nessebar more.
A ticket for half a day (from 15 to 18-30) costs 24 leva, for those who are less than 130 cm tall - 12 leva. Details here http://aquaparadise-bg. com/#info? lang=en&inf=2
2. Nessebar - a historical and cultural monument. Can't tell - just see for yourself!

A mini train with open trailers runs around the sunny city - the price is 3 leva per person - I highly recommend it. On the same locomotives (though with one change) you can get to Nessebar. They stop anywhere - just wave your hand. By the way, you can get to Nessebar for 1 lev on a regular bus. They run every 15 minutes on the main highway. Routes here http://www. bgnesebar. com/spages/transport/city. aspx
It is also close to Burgas - 30 minutes. from the same stop as in Nessebar. If you have time, be sure to visit Burgas, a very beautiful city.
In the evening, when it starts to get dark in Sunny Beach, nightlife begins to boil.
In our hotel, I honestly did not notice the animation. Maybe because we did not visit the hotel often.
And in other hotels, all the animation is in English and German (at least the one that I heard). Discos (Lazur is one of the best), bars, attractions. You can rent a 4 wheel bike, electric tricycle crap (like a scooter). Near restaurants, game hisses on skewers. You can go shopping. There are almost more shops and tents in the city than tourists. Souvenirs from 1 lev - for every pocket and taste. Various knitwear, jeans, shoes, bags, leather. While you and your friend are drinking beer, women can go shopping.

However, the main problem in the evening is the GERMANS! ! ! I'm not a chauvinist or a racist, but this is a real problem! Crowds of Germans (they often go in groups of 10-15 people) begin to occupy discos and bars with shouts. And they continue to yell when they return to the hotel (it's about 4-5 in the morning). I had to walk around the hotel to yell obscenities at them in Russian!
On June 22, the idea came to get a maxim machine gun somewhere. But oddly enough, from that date on, our neighbors stopped yelling. Probably learn the history of the reptiles! But despite all these misunderstandings, the holiday was a success! We left Bulgaria 10 days later happy and rested.
Finally, a small addition - many people forget that you can get sick abroad! Insurance will of course cover the cost of treatment BUT only AFTER you provide the insurance company with paid checks! And even the cost of one dropper often reaches 100 euros! And no one will treat you for free. Just in case, have an NZ of a couple of hundred with you.
