I have never considered Bulgaria as a tourism or holiday destination. But one night, a very tasty offer for a week at sea fell to my mail, and since I wanted to leave for a long time and very much, without hesitation, I ordered a ticket.
Well, Bulgaria surprised. I won’t say that it will become my favorite, but as a budget holiday, excellent clear sea, beautiful “local vistas” and wonderful nightlife - Slanchev Bryag (Sunny Beach) is almost an ideal place!
Many compare with the Crimea, I will say, as an alternative - yes, it is much cleaner, more comfortable and sincere. But this is in terms of service, parties and the overall impression. If you go to the Crimea, like me, not for this, but for a special microclimate and landscapes, then these are incomparable things. I have not yet met such places as in the Crimea in other countries.
But back to Bulgaria, Sunny Beach and Pomegranate.

The hotel is small, clean and cozy. With a minimum of service, there is no restaurant, pool. But this is solved by the fact that a voucher for breakfast is issued - to the neighboring Central Hotel, and the pool can be used from the Sapphire Hotel. The pool is located between Pomegranate and Sapphire, so it's even hard to say whose it is. =))
For those who do not go to the hotel to lie down, but to spend the night (sometimes =)))) and take a shower - a wonderful solution for a sane price. The room has a refrigerator, shower (not bath), balcony (terrace). And yes, there was also a TV, it seemed. NO HAIR DRYER! Balconies are also not available in all rooms. Hot water - all the time, the pressure is normal, thick long hair is washed with a bang. But the water is hard.
They change linen every 4 days, but on request they can change it any day. Cleaning daily. There is a safe at the reception for a fee. 4 leva / 2 euro per day.
In general, nice and cozy. And budget. For such a price in the Crimea, you can literally rent - sheds. For similar numbers - they will ask us for at least 60% more expensive, maximum - twice.
In this regard, by the way, there is a sense to go to Bulgaria on your own, without an operator. There are plenty of hotels, at the beginning of the season - the beginning of July - there are a lot of free rooms - call in and live. In general, if you go to rest in the country, by the sea and at the disco, it is quite a great place to stay for the night. If you are going for service, fans, slaves in the form of hotel workers, and golden saucers - you are not in the right place.
Slanchev Bryag - I got the impression that this is the most party town on the coast. And it is SO! Another plus of the Granat hotel is that it is not on the very shore, because the shore never sleeps. But sometimes we still want to. =)
Therefore, due to the location of the villa, the noise from the nightlife is not so heard, and does not interfere.

Disco everywhere, too. as well as restaurants, cafes, bistros, as well as entertainment, and shops. Prices in bistros/restaurants range from quite low - ie. you can dine for two for 15-20 leva (7-10 euros), with beer, and up to 60-80 leva (30-40 euros) for two. Pizza is everywhere, edible, hot and fresh. 2-3 leva - a piece. Two pieces - already overeat. Almost everywhere bonuses for alcohol, cocktails / drinks, such as bought one - the second, the same, as a gift, and sometimes - the third.
I liked The Corner the most, it is located in the middle of the central alley. Excellent cuisine, average prices, at night you just fly away, wonderful disco.
Excursions can also be taken from the locals, at the beginning of the alley, near the bus stop there is a larEk - Excursion last minet - they took two there - Istanbul and a boat, everything is clear. And they rode on a boat, and they took him to Istanbul, and even brought him back. =)
Near Nessebar - a very interesting and cozy town. There are "ruins" and, in general, very pleasant, streets, general view, restaurants. And many, many souvenirs and shops with all sorts of trinkets.
Elenite is a resort, beautiful, the beaches are more wild. But there is nothing to see except hotels.
The beach in Sunny Beach is large and clean. Sunbeds are paid. 12 leva (6 euros) - day. They give you a receipt, you can leave, then come back, present the check and take the sun lounger again.
There are rental bikes, cars. And on that, and on the other, you can go around the entire bay. =)
In general, Bulgaria surprised. Impressions - only positive. And they have excellent wines, especially rosé , dry. And tattoos are cheap, it’s a pity that when you sunbathe, you can’t beat.
