We were in Bulgaria for the first time (from August 17th to 24th) and after numerous Egyptians and Turkeys, to be honest, there were fears. They dissipated in the first ten minutes of staying at the hotel). We traveled together with my boyfriend.
In general, the first thing you should be lucky with in Bulgaria is with a hotel, because you can get there well, which will ruin the whole vacation. But Royal sun is the case when you are definitely lucky with the hotel. A huge hotel with a huge territory, three swimming pools, lawns, and a chip on the entrance gate, which makes you feel completely safe there.
Separate greetings to the Teddy Cam company, which, due to the oversight of an absolutely insane fool representative, took away almost a day of rest from us, saying that our flight was postponed 7 hours earlier, at the airport it turned out that no one was transferring anything anywhere and these seven hours we spent in the heat, with virtually no money, waiting for the plane. The airport there is unique, check-ins are practically on the street, the waiting room is on the street, after checking in inside the airport we are again on the street)) Just before the plane, you will sit almost on the airfield behind the fence)) By the way, there is a very decent duty free, Is there a place to leave your money?

Money in Bulgaria is leva, the rate is 1 $ - 1.5 leva, 1 lev is about 5 UAH, money can be changed at every step in exchange offices or banks, but be sure to ask in advance how much money you will receive. You can pay there almost only with levs, they don’t take dollars in supermarkets.
Location. The hotel is located in a pleasant place, not noisy, but at the same time not so far from the active life of Sunny Beach. It takes 3 minutes to walk to the nearest store, 5 minutes to the nearest cafe. Ardo public transport stop is a three-minute walk away, from where you can take a bus to the nearest towns and villages. (travel is about 2 leva, depending on the distance).
Nutrition. The hotel does not have an all-inclusive system, but you are warned about this in advance, if you wish, you can take all-inclusive, but you will have food and drinks on the territory of the Trakia Plaza hotel and the Chuchura restaurant, which are located 5-7 minutes walk from Royal Sun . The road is not strenuous, you do not feel it. (In Trakia, you will use absolutely everything, bars, swimming pools, entertainment and free Wi-Fi). In Chuchura, the food is very tasty, in principle, a fairly rich choice, many dishes close to national ones, fruits and vegetables are always in stock, very tasty sweets. I'm a very picky eater, but I've never been hungry here. On the territory of the Royal there is a restaurant and a lobby bar, which are almost always empty, since there is no point in eating and drinking there. There are just hundreds of cafes, restaurants, fast foods in the city for every taste and pocket, you will definitely not stay hungry there. The prices are different, but some are shockingly cheap) For example, a glass of beer in a beach bar can be taken for 3 leva, and a cocktail for 5)
Beach. From Royal to the beach, walk 10-15 minutes at a slow pace. The beaches in Sunny Beach are huge, clean and... expensive) The beach itself, of course, is free, but to take a sunbed and an umbrella you will have to pay 8 levs per day for each, i. e. for two, an umbrella and two sun loungers will cost 24 leva, for which you must be given a check. You can’t lie on your towel between the sunbeds, they will definitely come to you and ask. On your towel you can lie down behind a series of umbrellas, 15 meters from the sea. To be honest, it doesn’t bother me, the sand is soft, clean, warm, and I don’t see the point in paying that kind of money for convenience, and probably not only me, because the sunbeds are half empty. The sea is clean, sometimes cool, and very shallow, you can walk 20 meters and it will be knee-deep, so for children there is, of course, a paradise.

Number. We got a two-room apartment. Very beautiful, bright and spacious room, with new furniture, appliances and plumbing. The room consisted of a corridor, a living room combined with a kitchenette, a bedroom, a bathroom and a balcony. The kitchenette has everything you need, a stove, a coffee maker, a kettle, plates, spoons, forks, cups, glasses, a saucepan, a frying pan, a bowl, a knife and even a corkscrew) In general, if you wish, you can buy food in supermarkets (by the way, prices there are lower than with us) and cook in the room. There is a dryer on the balcony, which is also very convenient. There is also an air conditioner and a refrigerator, which does not cool very much. The room is cleaned every day, but frankly, weakly. Cleaned superficially, but we had enough. The bed was made, everything was wiped in the bathroom, the dishes were removed.
Weather. The climate there is unrealistically beautiful) There is no heat, it’s cool in the morning and evening, it’s cold at night, it’s cold to sleep in a room with an open window). Even in the midst of the heat at 12-13 o'clock, you can safely be on the street.
Entertainment and excursions. Absolutely for every taste. Be sure to walk in the evening to the center of the resort, take a walk along the promenade, plunge into the world of nightlife. Bars, restaurants, clubs just flooded Sunny Beach. All kinds of attractions, shops, shops, souvenirs, clothes, millions of options to occupy yourself. You can rent a car (from 25 euros), a segway, a bicycle, a scooter, a small pleasure car or ride in a horse carriage.
Ride a train (you can get to Nessebar) and be sure to meet the sunset on the beach)
Be sure to go to Nessebar on your own, it is located 5-6 km from Sunny Beach, and consists of the old and new towns. The new town is not particularly impressive, everything is normal, but the old one is just a piece of a miracle in the sea) Old Nessebar is under the protection of UNESCO, and impresses with its streets, nature and beauty. In short - Nessebar is a mandatory program for any tourist in Sunny Beach, I think)
The second point of the mandatory program is a trip to the Bulgarian village. From 6 pm to midnight you will be entertained every minute) A village in the mountains, you will be brought to a restaurant there, fed with a national dinner, then you can walk around the local shops, stroke the donkey, ride the child on it, and return to the table where the show will begin. The national beautiful program will captivate you for a couple of hours, after which you will go to the burnt out fire, where a Bulgarian will dance on the coals. After that, you will return to the disco and closer to the night, happy and tired, you will go home, through the night mountains. (Cost about 50 leva per person)

You can also go to the town of St. Vlas, a little further than Nessebar, in the other direction along the coast. A small, neat, clean town, where I advise you to buy souvenirs, as the prices there are the lowest, and the choice is the largest. Be sure to try rose cosmetics, there are dozens of types, buy something from traditional dishes and try honey, it is tasty and unusual there)
Also from the excursions they offer trips to Istanbul (you need a double-entry visa to Bulgaria), jeep safari, and some other excursions related to the sights of Bulgaria.
All in all, Bulgaria is an awesome, European country, with low prices and a surprisingly warm attitude towards tourists. I advise with all my heart, and of course - only in the Royal sun))
P. S. I also say hello to the Windrose airline, which proves every time that it is not worth flying with them, and to the Belarusian tourists who traveled with us to the Bulgarian village. If suddenly this woman with a tinned throat reads, then you should know that you were disgustingly drunk, and your friend can’t sing at all, it’s a pity that you will be disgraced and do not understand this.
