Finally, I was going to write a review about our vacation in Trakya in 2015. Since we already rested in this hotel in 2012 and you can read my review, now it will be more of a review-comparison.
The main disadvantage of the hotel is the parking of horses opposite the far rooms of the left building (if you are facing the hotel), so we made every effort not to get into these rooms. Last time we lived on the first floor of the left wing, in the middle part, and were very pleased: the exit was direct to the pool, the lobby bar and the pool bar were close, an excellent room, everything worked properly. This time we decided to ask for a room in the right wing rumpled about horses and, lo and behold, the administration heard us, we got a room on the 4th floor, almost the very last one. No wonder they say that everything is known in comparison.
The trip to the bar and to the pool turned into a series of endless staircases of doors and once again I didn’t want to go anywhere, God forbid, forget something in the room, you won’t go out to the pool in a swimsuit because you have to go through the whole hotel and, like me It seemed that this building seemed to be cut off from the entire hotel and lives its own life. Okay, the location of the room is my personal quibbles, someone must live on the 4th floor, now the room itself, again in comparison. At first glance, the room is exactly the same, after a while it is clear that it needs renovation, the walls need to be touched up, the carpet needs to be changed. There was no circle on the toilet in the bathroom, and in two weeks we were unable to explain in any language what we lack in life. The last time I foamed at the mouth proved to those who claimed that there was no hair dryer in the room, that there was a hair dryer! I take my words back, there was no hair dryer in this room, as in the other rooms of the right building.

Coming from the beach in the evening, slightly warm water was waiting for us, it was a problem to wash thoroughly, only quickly, quickly. It’s good that I don’t have a small child, I wouldn’t be able to wash him. I don’t know what it is connected with, either with the height of the floor, or with the fact that everyone washed and poured out all the hot water (((. The biggest nightmare of our vacation was the air conditioner ...It practically did not work, turned off after 20 minutes of work and no strength could not make it work further. At the set temperature of 16, it blew a warm breeze. The struggle with the administration did not lead to anything, it was impossible to sleep with the window open because of the noise, the left wing is further from the road and there is no hotel building opposite it, so there it is much quieter, but German youth walks here until 3 in the morning, until 5, then glaruses connect and food is brought to the Baikal Hotel, not to mention the buses standing at Baikal around the clock, every 15 minutes tourists were brought there or taken away from there.
After suffering for two nights, I got a constant headache and we decided to sleep with the door open ...It was not very safe, because this part of the hotel has absolutely free access from the street (((. But there was no way out. the son joyfully informed us that we were not alone in our grief and the doors of many rooms of our wing were wide open at night. I asked to see how things were with the left wing, where all the doors were closed, which tells us about the working air conditioners, as it was in us last time. The room was cleaned well, for a small tip the maid changed towels every day, straightened the bed and no longer knew, poor thing, what else to clean for us, but she didn’t go out to the balcony (((our whole vacation, it seems that they are forbidden , I even watered the flowers myself, I felt sorry for them. As a result, our bush turned green and bloomed favorably with other balconies...
Food: Compared to last time, food became more economical, there were fewer fruits, but their quality was always good, which I cannot say about the quality of vegetables. I really love tomatoes. Where, if not in Bulgaria, to eat delicious tomatoes during the season, but not in Trakia, all the tomatoes were unripe, the taste of grass, I had to walk with my own tomatoes). The range of dishes has changed, become less diverse. Every day, for two weeks, the soup did not change, and the assortment of side dishes and main dishes, too, although it was varied and plentiful until the end. For the first time on vacation, I got tired of food (((...It was delicious, but always the same, the way of cooking meat or fish or vegetables did not change. I do not want to say that the food was bad, no, for a three-ruble note it is still high level, but a little worse, I would say tight-fisted than before.
At lunch there were big problems with tables, for some reason this was not the case for breakfast and dinner, probably the reason was the small time interval allotted for lunch.

Bars: In the bars everything is the same, even the bartenders. Drinks are all local, you can drink it simply, you can dilute it with soda and add syrup. I only drink gin and tonic and mentu with sprite, so it's hard for me to evaluate the quality. The husband immediately rejected beer and whiskey, but he really liked some kind of mastic mastic cops and something else. Because of the beer that we had to buy in the store, we rented a refrigerator for a fee. Then we were even happy, we sit on the balcony in the evening and do not have to run to the bar along all these stairs, everything is at hand))).
Pool: The pool has become smaller (((, because a couple of years ago one of the guests drowned in it ...Animation and constant music appeared, which is again a minus for me (but only for me).
The deep part of the pool was occupied by men playing water volleyball, small children and teenagers, there was only a place for playing hippopotamus, there was nowhere to swim. If last time it was difficult to take a sun lounger by the pool, but it was possible to sit on the grass, now it is very problematic to find a place on the grass. At first I could not understand what was the matter, then I understood. The building of Trakia Plaza apartments is fully occupied, last time it was empty. In general, in my opinion, the territory of the hotel is bursting at the seams from the number of people and clearly can not cope. In the evening, it is impossible to find a place in the lobby or in the pavilions, even the sun loungers by the pool, wet from watering, can be occupied by vacationers ...And just an insane number of children from 4 to 12 years old (the most noisy and running age), it was very noisy in the evenings ...

I don’t want to say that the hotel has become bad and you shouldn’t go there, no, the hotel still corresponds to its price, but it has undergone changes that I didn’t like and this time there were shortcomings that did not make my stay comfortable (water and air conditioning).. .
