We were going to go to Bulgaria with small (2 and 3.5 years old) children, so we chose a hotel for almost a month. I must say that we were not mistaken with the hotel, because, walking around Sozopol, we saw other hotels, but we didn’t like any of them like Laguna Beach. "Laguna Beach" is a quiet, family hotel, there are no downhole discos, youth entertainment here. For children there is a paddling pool, a children's room, evening animation (half an hour), and most importantly - a shallow and calm sea.
Good food, but without a children's menu, so if the children eat everything, then there will be no problems, but if you need cereals, pancakes - they are not.
However, I would like to point out the negative points. Firstly, it is 3 (! ) kilometers to Sozopol, it is impossible to walk on foot, because the road goes along a busy highway. You can take a shuttle from the hotel (6 levs) or by taxi (8 levs). There is no hair dryer in the room, no safe as promised. The hotel staff is generally friendly, trying to speak Russian. However, when problems arise, smiles disappear from the face, unpleasant aggression appears.

I will give examples. We lost a bag of sand toys from our room. When we asked the maid if she had seen him, we heard: "You left him on the beach. " It was useless to prove anything. After a while, we also lost our beach towel, and again our question was followed by: "You forgot it on the beach. " It became alarming for itself: whether amnesia was developing! Nevertheless, we paid 20 leva for the "lost" beach towel. Probably the whole point is that we only paid a tip once - when the room was really well cleaned. As a rule, cleaning was superficial.
Another important fact. Check-in at the hotel at 14.00! We arrived early and were at the hotel at 9.00 (with small children, after a sleepless night). No one will check you in earlier, feed you, or even tell you where you can eat, change money (there is no exchange office in the hotel either !!! ). We went to the neighboring hotel "Santa Marina" - they turned out to be more friendly there: they changed money, fed us.
These are probably not such important details to be sad. We took apartments - they were just great! We had a view of the pool - no noise, no smell of bleach!
True, the floors in one of the rooms are tiled, the children sometimes fell. The balconies are huge, but the fence is made of glass, we were afraid that the children would lean on them and fall (we had the 2nd floor).
In general, we liked Laguna Beach - the beach is clean, the sea is gentle and clear. In our travels (we visited Nessebar, Burgas, Sozopol) we met wonderful Bulgarians - friendly, helpful. The food is delicious and inexpensive. The country is very beautiful!
