Review of the stunning city of Sozopol (Bulgaria). If you are going to visit Sozopol and have doubts, NEVER doubt it! GO WITHOUT TALKING!!!!!! ! When my friend and I wanted to go there, also, by the way, on the advice, we tried to find reviews on the Internet, but in vain - that's why I decided to write a review for everyone who ever decides to go to this super duper town. I'll start with our "amazing" road and our "amazing" tour company. After a long search, together with the manager of the tour agency, places on buses to Bulgaria. There was no other choice but to start cooperation with the tour operator in Bulgaria "SION-S". After choosing and paying for the hotel (CHRISTINA THREE STARS!! ), bus and visas FOR TWO WEEKS. We heard the promise and saw in the documents, a SETRA bus with air conditioning and a toilet, because the road is not close, we were particularly interested in it, we calmly waited for the day of departure. When boarding the bus, we noticed that he was obviously 7-10 years old, that it was Neoplan, that the toilet and air conditioning did not work there, no, sometimes he still tried to work, but all the time he was spewing air, the temperature of which was about 30 degrees ! ! ! In general, you can imagine what a trip we got! As a result, after 33 hours spent on the bus, we still got to Sozopol. Arriving at the hotel already barely breathing from fatigue, we see a surprised administrator at the sight of our voucher for payment for accommodation. As a result, in a mixture of Bulgarian and Russian, we understand that there are no numbers for us !!!!!!! ! That the host tour operator has not been working with the Christina Hotel (3 *) for more than two weeks (which we chose and paid for just two weeks ago in Kyiv! ) The owner of the hotel Christina kindly invites us to go to the office of the Sea Star company (host side), having raised everyone there on their feet, we finally achieved an intelligible answer, as it turns out, the Bulgarian side informed the Ukrainian side about the change in the hotel TWO WEEKS before our arrival !! ! !! ) Now you know that you should not contact them, and if I save at least one tourist from such a mistake, then I will be very happy. As a result, we settled on the approval! Starfish" to an equivalent hotel, KRITSTINA 3 * - and we were settled in the ORKA 2 * hotel, how do you like the equivalence ??????!!!!!!!! ! SOZOPOL. Sozopol is a picturesque resort town with picturesque streets and houses. This is a favorite place for artists and artists, as well as those who want to immerse themselves in an extraordinary atmosphere of romance. . Sozopol is an attractive tourist center with hot sun and clear sea. This is a small homely cozy town. It consists of two parts of the Old and New Towns. It is impossible to describe Sozopol in all colors, it must be seen. We fell in love with him once and for all! HOTEL. In general, we have nothing against the hotel, it is very comfortable, but the room is not large, the hotel was built this year right before the start of the season, so there is no external decoration. The room has a TV, refrigerator, air conditioning, bathroom - very interesting in Bulgarian. The fact is that in their bathroom there is neither a bathtub nor a shower cabin, but there is a hole in the floor where water flows after taking a shower. The room is cleaned every day, linen and towels are changed every three days. But now the most interesting cost of a double room is 46 levs, about 24 euros (in July) in August 56 levs - 29 euros. (1 euro-1.9 lev). Our hotel was located 20 meters from the center of the New Town, very conveniently close were all the main banks of the town, the largest shops, as well as the Old and the New Beach were the same distance of 200 meters. SEA AND BEACH. . As already described earlier, there are two beaches in Sozopol. The beach of the old town is about 1 km long, 300 meters wide, this beach is more suitable for tourists with children, because if you go 50 meters into the sea, you will be knee-deep, and there are a lot of children there. But the beach of the New Town (Bulgarians call it Harmanit), this beach is twice as large and deeper, mostly young people rest there. In Bulgaria, all beaches are municipal, that is, free, only rented equipment is paid, for example, if you want to rent a sun lounger for one day, it will cost 4 leva, the same price for an umbrella, it's about 2 euros. But you can negotiate with the beach workers (especially if you are attractive Ukrainian women, preferably with blond hair) about a discount if you buy a set for the whole vacation and you can get a significant discount, but its size depends on this very attractiveness. And having paid for the entire period, you can be sure that every morning your sun loungers and umbrella will be waiting for you. It's rare to see people on the beach before 9 a. m. . Basically, everyone starts to come by 10-12 o'clock, so, having come at 9 o'clock, you can choose any place for yourself. RESTAURANTS. Scattered throughout the town, there are hundreds of restaurants, bars, cafes, for every taste. I've never seen prices like this anywhere else. I can tell you for sure that a full meal for two with drinks in Kyiv is not possible for 40-50 UAH. Here it is normal, and sometimes expensive!! ! The thing is that the size of the portions (400.500 grams) will be difficult for one person to eat a salad, soup, main course of such sizes! Each time we ate in different restaurants, but it would not be enough to get around them all, probably even a year of vacation! The most liked: "EL GRECO" - located in the old town, right above the sea, it consists of three levels, the lowest one hangs above the sea in the literal sense. The service here is excellent, and the dishes are simply beyond words, you will lick your fingers. "ZOE" - this restaurant is also located in the Old Town, but the side of the pier, the open-air restaurant, is decorated in the form of a ship frozen in a mountain, with all its attributes, very affordable prices, and also brilliant service. “MEKHANA CHUCHURA” is the first restaurant that we heard about when we first got to the Old Town, because the owner of this restaurant on the square invites people there every day and answers all questions about the menu, location, etc. But I warn this restaurant for people who can wait for a waiter for 20 minutes, this is the only drawback of this restaurant, which the owner knows about but is silent. But we have never tasted tastier dishes, This is SOMETHING! All dishes are cooked in their special oven, and served with fire, amazingly delicious, but sooooo slow. We also liked the grill restaurant, which is located right on the beach "HAVANA", it is very tasty and not expensive, and we are pleasantly surprised by the speed of order fulfillment. Don't forget to tip 5-10% of the bill. ENTERTAINMENT. Well, a standard set of entertainment in the resort, attractions, karaoke bars, discos. The most crowded discos "HAVANA" (free admission) is a beach club at the same time, and "CULT" (entrance 2 leva). "HAVANA" is a crowded club where you can meet people from all over the world, but the dance floor area is very small and therefore there is practically nothing to breathe and in the dance you are always pushing someone or someone is pushing you. "CULT" club is much larger than the previous one, but there are not so many people, maybe the entrance fee scares away? But there, for some reason, I didn’t really like it, maybe because of the bartenders constantly whistling in my ear. We chose the third option for ourselves, this is a bar that belongs to "HAVANA", the bar is located on the beach, there are almost no people at night, the music is the same, plus the sea breeze and the moon hanging overhead. Almost all our evenings and nights passed here. EXCURSIONS. After reading a few reviews about the excursions, we felt uneasy, but by contacting the first PETRA excursion agency we came across, we were not mistaken. We decided to go to the water park, in Bulgaria there are two water parks Action and AQUA CITY, if you have a choice, it’s better to go to the first one. It turned out that this agency has an offer to visit the town of Nessebar on the same day, after the water park. Whoever wanted them was taken to Nessebar for 2 hours, who did not want to stay in the water park for 2 hours longer. Nessebar is the same Sozopol, only older and ruined churches on every corner, in general, we did not find anything particularly interesting for ourselves there. CURRENCY. It is better to exchange the day in banks, although there are currency exchange stalls throughout the town, NEVER change money from people who stand near these stalls !!! ! The bank will definitely ask you for your last name and first name, give you an exchange document, and then if a large number of levs remain on hand, you can transfer them back to dollars or euros. It is forbidden to export the national currency from Bulgaria! Many Bulgarians understand and even speak tolerably Russian, the younger generation speaks English very well, so you will not feel discomfort in communication. It is better to go to Sozopol at the end of June, at the beginning of July, because the highest season starts in August, there are a lot of people, this is reflected in the purity of the water in the sea and also in prices. And finally, the most important advice: if you want to have a good and not expensive vacation, buy a bus or plane ticket, get visas (it's not difficult), and go without paying a hotel in advance, in Sozopol every house is either an official hotel or a private house in which you are always welcome tourists. And do not listen to those who scare you with the fact that they will definitely ask at the border for a voucher with a place of future residence in Bulgaria, no one asked anything ! ! I wish everyone a super holiday, and I am 100% sure that in Sozopol it will be like that!!! !
