And the experience of living in any hotels was not at all. At all! Returning to the noisy gray Moscow, my husband filled me with enthusiastic stories about Minsk, about its breadth and spaciousness, about restrained beauty and... cleanliness. And, of course, about a wonderful miracle and a wondrous diva - the Hotel, the Big Hotel. And it’s clean there, and everything works, and the girls at the registration desk smile, don’t bark. And the breakfasts! What kind of breakfast is there? The hall is a restaurant. The food is amazing (Well, yes, after my cooking, then) You take what you want and how much you want. Yep, you can go a few times. And once they brought in a group of young cadets. They, like locusts, swept away everything with lightning speed. With the guys-colleagues, we decided that everything, we will go to work hungry. But no, like in a fairy tale, food appeared again : ))
In Minsk, we decided to spend the night on our way back from Klaipeda to Moscow during our New Year's trip to Lithuania. There are a lot of hotels, hotels, hostels in Minsk now. Of course, we need it for inexpensive, but also with comfort, in this case we also needed parking for a car, and yes, it is desirable to have a place in the center, we definitely need to walk around the city and say hello. It was then that the husband remembered about his first hotel. Alive and well, working, good opinions are left by the guests - we take it!
The location of the hotel is wonderful. Not so that the center, but not on the outskirts. Literally at the porch is the entrance to the Pushkinskaya metro station. The neighbors have a good large supermarket, where you can buy Belarusian gifts, and even have a bite to eat. There is a large secure parking lot.
Hotel "Orbita" - not five stars, of course, but quite worthy. Although the legacy of the last century, everything has been renovated and refurbished.
The girls, even after so many years, are sweet and amiable. The New Year holidays are a kind of peak of the tourist season, there are sooo many guests, in the eyes of the reception staff there is obvious fatigue, but there is a smile on her face, and no sharp attacks. They asked, if possible, to settle us on a high floor. Got the twelfth. There is such a weakness - to watch from above))
The most unpretentious room was booked, we will survive the night and on different beds)). Comfortable, clean, not shabby. The husband says that yes, such numbers were also during his business trip. If this is so (and then human memory is very selective, especially with regard to first impressions), then it’s good, you know, everything has been preserved, the staff maintains the property at the proper level. No, well, there will definitely be a stain on the carpet. But the refrigerator is washed, the curtains are not dusted, the plumbing is sparkling.
And this floral tile, coupled with a curtain (well, obviously not from this collection) gives some kind of homeliness, as if you are visiting relatives, and not in a soulless hotel.
From, perhaps, already uncomfortable nuances for modern hotels - a hairdryer on request. I have read about it and prepared. Yes, and we were on the car, which means that almost all the household with us : ))
Breakfast did not disappoint. Simple, understandable for a Central Russian person and deliciously cooked food. Out of the corner of my ear I heard that many guests were pleased with the presence of chicken broth for breakfast, yes, they say it heals well not only from a cold...
The hotel accepts many organized tourist groups. Their food is organized separately, they are not allowed to the "buffet". It would seem, how are they being tracked and caught? Employees have an eye for it. We watched the episode when the first of the group entered the hall with the words "Never mind! ". But while they were looking at the food, not daring to take something, they were carefully caught and sent in the right direction. Don't think they weren't deprived of food in the slightest, good solid portions with all the right ingredients for breakfast.
Orbita is a wonderful hotel. A very good place to stay in Minsk in the middle price category for both tourists and business travelers.
