Our family decided to spend the summer vacation of 2014 on the territory of the post-Soviet space. However, a trip to the Crimea by car turned out to be an absurd idea due to the impossibility of driving through the territory of Ukraine, the congestion of the Don highway, and many hours of waiting for a ferry crossing.
Without hesitation, remembering the May tour to Belarus at the Ice Hockey World Championship, we decided to go on vacation to the Lake District of Belarus. Internet searches for housing on the Braslav Lakes did not bring the desired result. It is logical, good conditions at reasonable prices are booked in advance.
By the will of providence, information about the Podsolnukh agricultural estate, located in the Pinsk district of the Brest region, comes across. Correspondence in feedback and a few calls, and now a 2-room cottage with all amenities for 4 people is booked for us without any prepayment.

Before arriving at the farmstead, we visited Minsk again, saw the castles in Mir and Nesvizh (more on that another time).
The farmstead is located in the small village of Gornovo, about two hundred meters from the reservoir, where they bathed with pleasure. There is a small sandy beach.
We bought milk, cottage cheese and eggs from local residents in the village. Twice we went to Pinsk to a chain supermarket.
The farmstead itself and the cottage-log house, one to one, as in the photo of the farmstead site of the same name. Furniture and appliances are all new. During the week of stay, bed linen was changed several times, towels every other day. The owner of the farmstead placed emphasis on the comfort of tourists: numerous barbecues and barbecues, bicycles, a children's playground with a trampoline, which was very popular not only for children, but also for their parents. Each cottage has its own al fresco dining area. You can order laundry and ironing from the attendants. We rode bicycles around the area. There is a horse farm in the village, which my daughter really liked.
It was very annoying to leave Belarus and, in particular, the Podsolnukh agricultural estate, but the summer was coming to an end, the children had to go to school, it was time to go home!
Have a good rest, memorable travels and peace!
