This year my friends and I decided to spend our holidays in Europe. We read reviews on the Internet for countries, programs and decided to choose a tour with a beautiful and intriguing name "The story of one woman. "
The route ran through Austria and Switzerland, and we have long dreamed of visiting these countries.
"The Story of a Woman" is a story about the fate of the Empress of Austria-Hungary, Elisabeth (Sissi). For us, history lovers, it was interesting to see the places associated with the life of the imperial person.
Our route started from Vienna. Vienna is the citadel of the Austrian emperors. Every street, every house is steeped in history. The historic center is very beautiful. The Parliament building, the University, the City Hall, the Burgtheater, the Opera are a monumental historical and architectural ensemble.
And in Vienna there is a riding school, which has its own long tradition.
Horse riding was Sissy's passion, because she personified it with freedom!
The next day we were expected to move to Salzburg and Innsbruck. These cities are world famous.
The great Mozart was born in Salzburg, and the brilliant conductor Herbert von Karajan lived. Numerous music festivals are also held here. To visit this city and get in touch with the musical culture is a dream of many. And we made it happen. The Olympic Games were held in Innsbruck.
Our tour was designed for 9 days, and during this time we visited many beautiful European cities such as Bern, Lucerne, Interlaken and even took an additional excursion to the mini-state of Liechtenstein, which we do not regret. After all, everyone wants to see, evaluate. After all, as the saying goes: "Better to see once than hear a hundred times. "
Moving to the French part was remembered by us with excursions to Montreux and Geneva. After all, Sissi stopped in these cities and, unfortunately, her life path ended tragically in Geneva... On the Mont Blanc embankment there is a monument to this fragile one. beautiful and elegant woman.
We did not notice how the days spent in Europe flew by, which means that the vacation was a success.
