I studied in Switzerland! My mother and I are grateful to the Meganom NOU Center for organizing my trip! Thanks to the staff of the Meganom Center in Moscow!

1. This year I went to Monte Rosa for the second time because I really enjoyed it last year. The school has a pleasant atmosphere. The school is located in a historic building, from all rooms and classrooms there is a wonderful view of Lake Leman. The school area is small.

2. I was in the strongest group in English, our teacher was a young Irish woman, Mrs O’Donovan, who is very good with children, teaches interesting and effective lessons. You can talk with her about extracurricular activities, she always told interesting things. Every day, except Sunday and Wednesday, there are 4 lessons of 45 minutes. Classes are based on textbooks, as well as additional printouts (for example, a manual for preparing for IELTS).

In the last lesson, time is allotted for the implementation of mandatory creative projects, the topic for which is chosen independently. On the first day, a test is conducted to determine the level of the language, after which they are divided into groups in accordance with the test result. You can always ask to be transferred to a group of a different level, if necessary, which is very convenient to make sense of the classes. On Tuesdays and Thursdays in the afternoon there is a Conversation class where speaking skills are developed. In these classes, you can study any language (English/French/German) regardless of the main language of study.

3. Here in the lessons more emphasis is placed on independent work, the atmosphere is less strict than in Russia. Teachers patiently answer any questions, treat students very politely.

4. Montreux is a very nice city, there is a jazz festival in summer.

There is a very beautiful embankment, it is pleasant to walk around the city, it is impossible to get lost. The residents are polite.

5. One of the most memorable after-school activities is rafting. The first time I tried to swim down a mountain river and go water skiing there. The summer school provides an opportunity to meet and get involved in new hobbies. It is worth visiting a chocolate factory, going for a ride on a banana, a boat ride on the lake, a trip to Zermatt is very impressive, where even in summer there is snow. There you can feel the national alpine flavor in everything.

6. One of the advantages of the summer school is international communication. Communication with foreigners broadens one's horizons. Most students, after Russians, are from Saudi Arabia. I have made many friends from different countries with whom I communicate throughout the year.

7. I liked the fact that we lived in an old castle.

(Partly) old interiors and architecture have been preserved, such as stained glass windows from 1903 and a spiral staircase with carved bars. The rooms are always kept clean, the furniture is simple, since 1994.

8. Nutrition is not always good. 3 days in a row can give pasta or pizza. Breakfast is a buffet with a small selection. Often the food is spicy. There is no tea at all. Dessert left over from dinner is served for breakfast.

9. Studying abroad unleashes the language, teaches spoken language, understand fast speech. The language level increases, but not significantly, it depends on personal efforts and desire.

10. I advise you to prepare in advance permission from your parents for paid activities. Be open to international communication, do not be afraid to speak a foreign language with mistakes.
