To drink or not to drink?

I am not a particular admirer and connoisseur of beer, my husband is a big gourmet in this regard. But since my husband and I are both in sorrow and in joy, I supported him in beer disgrace.

And nothing like that, it was delicious. Now in memory it is difficult to reproduce the names of establishments and types of beer (well, yes, you can’t remember everything with such and such a quantity), I liked something, I didn’t like something, but I liked it more.

On the job )

As a rule, we took different varieties. First try, then the second one, according to the updated data : ) And again, beer, already different.

Oh, just a couple of months before the trip to Prague on a stuffy summer evening, my husband and I decided to take a walk and enjoy a glass of beer “in our area”, culturally, so to speak, and not at home in front of the TV. Not only did it turn out to be just a disgusting swill, it also cost three hundred (! ) rubles, and this is a price tag in the backyards of Moscow. Horror!! ! In general, remembering this “going out” of ours, we went into the first pub in Prague with even greater pleasure to knock over a mug or two for 30.40, well, even if it was 50 kroons, we were already stingy : )). In rubles, this is 100-150.

Advertising in the underpass of the railway station in Prague. Right away I wanted a beer : )

As for food, no particularly vivid impressions stand out from memory. Tasty, good, but somewhere else.

Many people have heard about the restaurant with trains "Vytopna". The place is hyped, even unique in its time. There you only pay 25 kroons for admission.

Now you will not be surprised by such establishments, where food somehow gets to the table without a waiter. But it was in this restaurant on Wenceslas Square that we met, perhaps, the most delicious pork ribs.

Wenceslas Square

And the remains of a shank from "Ferdinanda". . .

. . . we ate only in Moscow, not because it tasted bad, it just turned out to be very big. Huge! And the others were not available : )

In one place, a tipsy waiter-bartender was observed, maybe the owner.

By the time we arrived, he was already slightly pumped up, but we did not attach any importance to this. While we were having lunch there, he slowly refueled with beer, and became quite good. Everything would be fine, but it turned out to be quite nervous, even aggressive. In general, visitors clearly disturbed his peace)).

Of course, in the Czech Republic in general, and in Prague in particular, you must drink! Beer. Miscellaneous. Freshly brewed. Yes, and a mug in the morning is not considered shameful there : )
