How many times have I been convinced in my life that one should not trust stereotypes and imposed thoughts.

So, how I imagined Berlin before meeting it personally:

  • a clean, logical, tidy city with true German pedantry in everything;
  • beautiful, impressive architecture that is popular in other European cities;
  • an ultra-modern capital that is developing day by day.
  • And how surprised I was when I saw a completely different picture with my own eyes.

    Even in comparison with beloved Kharkov, not to mention other European cities, Berlin is a rather dirty city, despite the fact that the Germans themselves, and not just tourists, litter.

    Here, FREEDOM IN EVERYTHING is not just words, here it is a lifestyle: same-sex love, bright outfits (tattoos, piercings, multi-colored hair), various rallies and naked shows - all this is modern Berlin.

    Monotonous, gray architecture. All buildings are dominated by straight lines and strict figures. Beautiful, ancient buildings, of course, are found, but extremely rarely.

    If you think that the Slavs are a drinking people, then you probably haven't been to Germany. Here everyone comes home with a can of beer, here the number of bars, pubs, beer yards is simply amazing, here alcohol is part of the culture and everyday life.

    Absolutely every building - a restaurant, a school or even a pilgrimage - is covered with graffiti and street writings. The authorities and the owners of the houses seem to be trying to fight this (many layers of camouflage paint are visible), but it looks like this piece of Berlin art will never go into oblivion.

    But still, I advise everyone and everyone to visit Berlin. After all, this is a special city full of unexpected surprises and shocking encounters. You will fall in love with him or not, but I can guarantee that you will definitely remember this city.
