Traveling through Germany from the Austrian Alps, we stopped at the planned city of Tangermü nde. Somewhere around 7 pm. We drove past the Sturm hotel, because we did not expect housing in such a place. It was located on the edge of the city, among the factory and warehouse buildings in a deserted dark corner.

We drove past the Sturm hotel, because we did not expect housing in such a place. It was located on the edge of the city, among the factory and warehouse buildings in a deserted dark corner... When we finally found it, having made several circles, we were met at the reception (quite friendly hostess), although at that moment busy with an assistant self-painting the walls (the smell was appropriate ), after registration they went to the room - in the best soviet traditions - cramped, primitively arranged in terms of furniture and interior, in the bathroom (reminiscent of the dimensions of a bathroom on a ferry) it smelled of unrepaired sewage. With difficulty, she persuaded her husband to stay until the morning, because. tired and did not want to look for something else in the dark, they tried to sleep. It wasn't there! Some Germans settled behind the wall, like business travelers, they loudly discussed funny cases of their lives and laughed, the effect of presence was complete! True, as a disciplined people, at eleven, sighing and groaning, they went to bed. But the sounds of the night were still real enough;
You can not make a footnote for 3 stars at the hotel. Prior to that, for 3 years of regular travel around the cities of Germany, we always stayed in 3 stars, but even in the most hit cities in terms of tourism, we have never seen anything like this.
Naturally, in the morning we immediately set off in search of a new home. And I wanted moral compensation for the inconvenience, we found just a great option (albeit 4 stars) - in the center of the historical part, in the castle of the electors - the Schloss Tangermunde hotel - simply beyond praise! Thanks to him, the impression of Tangermü nde was just magical! We will be glad if our impressions are useful to you! And the town is really surprisingly cozy, all fireworks, original, they did not regret that they stopped by it! Good luck to you!
