Unforgettable Greenland
Greenland is not a very well-known travel destination, at least for travelers from Russia. When we gathered in the summer in Greenland, our friends looked at us with surprise. "It's cold there! Isn't winter enough for you? " or "What's there to do? " - they asked us and packed our bags to Turkey or Greece.
But we knew exactly what we wanted. Moreover, we have been to Turkey-Greece-Italy many times already.
There are very few places like Greenland in the world. We did not immediately answer the question of friends, we decided: we will come and show the photos, it is better than a thousand words. First, pristine nature. Skyscraper-high icebergs, whales at arm's length, huge glaciers. Second, amazing people. An excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the Innuit culture, to see how people live in isolation from civilization, and how globalization affects even them. Well, and thirdly, not quite an ordinary trip - an expeditionary cruise. It's like a floating hotel. Every day in a new place and without a tiring road. During the trip we met interesting people, a great company gathered. There were lectures on board, so we also learned a lot of new things. We managed to read books, chat, catch wild halibut, go on excursions to national parks, try polar kayaking and even swim.
And yes, we took a couple of hundred photos to answer our friends' question "Why go to Greenland? ".
