We flew with Azhur Air from Moscow. 12 hours on the plane flew by without being noticeable, since the plane is comfortable, they give out blankets, pillows, food, etc. Before that, we flew with Fly Dubai and others, where no one had heard of comfort at all.
We flew to Punta Cana, crossed customs control in 20 minutes. The bus ride to the hotel took about an hour. We were quickly checked into our room and invited to dinner. Unfortunately, we had a not very good number, as it was located near a transformer box, so we changed our ego (we did not pay anything extra).
The service at the hotel is wonderful. Everyone is very friendly, if necessary, they will prompt, direct, help, while they do not require money, as in Turkey or Egypt.

The hotel rooms are old but you can live, since we flew to the sea, the rooms were not of particular interest to us, but if a person is very demanding, then of course he will find something to complain about. I advise you to take a room in the building across the road from the reception, there are very good rooms.

The room has towels, shampoos, wipes, water.
The dining room has everything and dairy and soups and fish and squid and meat for every taste. Once there was lamb. There were always fruits and ice cream. Very tasty coffee from a coffee machine and fresh in the morning)
In the evenings you have the opportunity to go to the restaurant by appointment. Only three restaurants (Mexican, Dominican, Italian). We liked the Dominican and Italian as there were dishes with very very tasty seafood. All this is included in the ticket price.
The beach, in my opinion, is excellent, as there are always enough sunbeds for everyone, if you want to relax in the sun, if you want under a palm tree. The sea is not stormy thanks to the strip of coral reefs that protects from waves. Before I went, I read reviews that the sea is shallow, you won’t be able to swim everywhere algae. But upon arrival, I realized that my fears were in vain, since the depth of the sea is sufficient for an adult who wants to swim, but not 10 meters deep, but still very comfortable. The water temperature is 29 degrees. The color of the water depends on which direction the sun is shining from. Beach photo lovers need to take photos from 12 to 14 days, because during this period the sun is very strong and bright and all the colors of nature are also very juicy and bright. I didn't leave the water for hours.
Be sure to walk along the beach strip. If you go to the left along the coast, about 15 minutes walk, you will see a gorgeous beach (there is still a restaurant or a house on the water, something like that), there is very beautiful water and palm trees.
Saona is a place worth visiting. Everything is luxurious. The only thing for some reason no one says is that it takes about 1.5-2 hours to get there on a sailing yacht and this is not just a transfer, it is a luxurious journey by sea, which gives no less wonderful sensations than Saona Island itself.
