Vacation fell on the first days of December. We flew via Frankfurt. . Heavy 10 hour flight during the day. . Very hard!! ! First impressions - high humidity, wind . . No one met - because it turns out that we were not included in the lists (we waited about an hour until they figure it out and pick us up). There were no Russian-speaking managers at the reception, so there was no one to explain where and how we could eat. - waiting for half an hour was a disaster. . . The next disappointment was the weather. . . The rains "pleased" every day. . it also rained at night. . . in the morning the paths did not always have time to dry. . The cleaning of the rooms left much to be desired. . The food is monotonous - they expected to eat seafood - but apart from mussels in sauce and occasionally with shrimp - they didn’t find anything else . . The ocean was stormy - it was uncomfortable to swim (after swimming, you have to go to wash because sand is everywhere both in a swimsuit and in your head)... Very hard to bear time difference of 6 hours - we never went to dinner (physiologically, the body could not quickly adjust to a new dinner time)... the problem was the adaptation of equipment (phones, cameras) to a voltage of 110 V. We found 1 points for issuing towels - near the ocean, and they give towels - 1 per person... If you put it on a sunbed - there is nothing to wipe yourself with (dry in the wind) . . Another negative thing was that for the first time my husband was not congratulated on the day birthday (also an anniversary)... All the hotels - where we rested earlier - at least something (cake, fruit, postcard) indicated their attention and respect. The area behind the hotel is dirty - no infrastructure . . if you need to buy something - it's problematic (our manager said - that if they need to make purchases - they go to the capital of Santa Domingo (3 hours from Punta Cana)
On the positive side - the territory is green, although the hotel is large - but all the main places (pool, restaurants, beach) are nearby. the first floor is damp, and the gazebo on the lawn does not have time to dry out after the rains. I liked the excursion to the island of Saona (Caribbean Sea) and the helicopter flight. I was pleased with the bartender by the pool - he prepared delicious cocktails, he never refused us anything, he served us quickly. It’s not worth counting on purchases - apart from rum and cigars, there’s really nothing else to take (well, except for fridge magnets : )) At the same time, you must definitely calculate the weight of luggage - 20 kg and not a gram more... For each extra kg, they will bill 35 dollars . . that's why the rum you bought will be golden for you. . . I think that once is enough for such a trip!
