And in the Dominican Republic, it took 2 hours by bus to the hotel + an hour to transport other tourists around the hotel. Ours was the last one. At the reception we were not met by the porter. They gave me the keys and began to explain where in the dead dark southern night to look for my corps. But I don't know English. One of our tourists asked for a map of the hotel area. I came up and asked too. Nightmare, they could not immediately offer, since there is no porter. sleepy, tired, with a bunch of things and suitcases, the child and I went through the darkness to look for our building, lined up on the map.... This is ppc. not found, returned to the reception.....Then a man was called to us and he accompanied us. And it was already 2 o'clock in the morning and two days without sleep. With such negativity, we have already stopped by this hotel. We entered the room, one room and two large beds. I thought after a long journey sweetly fall asleep....... But it was not there...... It was terribly cold in the room, I turned off the air conditioner, but it still blew from somewhere. I had to cover the top of the sheet with a bedspread. But that's not all. Sleep was disturbed by the noise coming from the balcony. In the morning I saw that there was some kind of fan under the balcony (sorry, I don’t know what it’s called, but I’m attaching its photo). In general, the night was sleepless from the cold and noise.....And, by the way, the window and the balcony overlooked the garbage heap and the end of another building. And in the voucher we have a superior room. On the trail. day through the guide asked us to change the room. By the evening they changed. The room was given two rooms, but with one bed. It’s good that I managed to steal a sheet from the first room (instead of a blanket, they hide with sheets there), because once there is one bed, then there was one sheet, despite the fact that there are two of us. In the second room there is a kitchen, a table and a coffee table, a sofa, a coffee maker. And the balcony was on the side of this room. But this valve under the balcony was there too. They're under all the balconies. Hotels are all "noisy". But our neighbor on the floor, a man, found where to turn it off on the street, and turned it off closer to the night. For all these factors, it was possible to sleep peacefully. And the room was warm. But the phone in the room did not work and the reception could not get through. I had to walk. The maid, you see, how they taught to clean the bed, so she cleaned it, throwing my sheet in a lump, then on my suitcase, then on my bags, then just on the bedside table. I myself carefully folded my own sheet and put it under the pillow. But no, she made the bed with one sheet anyway, removing my second sheet. Then I just hung a sign on the door with a request not to disturb, so as not to come in. (by the way, there was no such hanger on the door either. I first hung a sheet of paper on the door handle, on which I wrote “NO”. After that, they hung the sign themselves). From the balcony, at least the view was not bad, on the courtyard of the hotel. Well, we also had a huge cockroach there, went to the reception, asked to call the maid, because I couldn’t handle it myself and the child had a panic. (southern cockroaches are huge). Again, I had to go to the reception, because the phone in my room did not work. In general, a cleaning cockroach and some other male worker were caught, I gave a tip and we calmly went to bed. And as for the bathroom...... Shampoos and shower gels are not included. Only toilet paper and two small soaps. But if you interrupt your morning swim in the sea and return to the room, then you can find the maid in it, give her a dollar and ask for shampoo, then you are guaranteed a small bottle of shampoo (well, she brought us). It was easy to show in sign language what I want from her. They only speak English at the reception. All these inconveniences and negativity brightened up the beautiful sea.... Not deep, it was possible to walk for a long time and the water was waist deep. There are breakwaters, so the water was calm, without waves. The best for swimming with children. But for those who like to swim under water, you need to be more careful, because there is a diving club in the same place for boats and on the beach, and boats sometimes swim up to the shore.... , . The man was almost hit by a boat sailing either to the pier or to the shore. Well, our holiday was brightened up by a restaurant with a buffet, right on the beach.....We ate, listened to the sound of the sea and admired the sunset. The food is always monotonous, there is not much choice, but you will not leave hungry. Personally, I'm not picky about the buffet. Twice in one week you can use the a la carte restaurant free of charge by booking a table in advance at the reception. Well, the baby and I somehow did not use this offer. Animation every evening, contests, dances, prizes. I liked it very much. Animation and during the day on the beach works. All in all, five points. This was my first hotel in my life with such a small category of stars. I made a conclusion for myself - either save up money and go to four or five stars, or not go at all, so as not to spoil your vacation.
