Yesterday we returned from Punta Cana, where we rested at the Catalonia Bavaro Beach Hotel. We had a wonderful rest, they placed us quickly and the room was changed to the floor we needed right away, without leaving the reception desk and without any additional payments (we lived in 31 villa number 3125. The hotel staff is really very friendly and polite, always in a good mood, they smile at you , try to help if you need it. The hotel really has 2 Russian girls who work there and also one of the concierges Jenny (also speaks good Russian)In general, if you know at least a little English or Spanish, there will be no problems The room was cleaned every day and someone here said that supposedly you would not wait for fresh towels. We had no problems with this, everything was always on time. The food was also good, they have very tasty cocktails. From excursions - very Saona was impressed (a boat trip in the Caribbean), they took VIP, everyone got 3 lobsters (someone wrote that they were fed chicken instead) A trip to Santo Domingo - so-so. My personal opinion is that when you go on vacation to an exotic country, you need to take excursions to the islands, and not look at architecture. It is good to look at architecture in Italy, but not in the Dominican Republic, there, first of all, nature !! ! she's just amazing. The water in the Caribbean is much saltier than in the ocean and, by the way, the border was quite clearly visible (where is the Atlantic and where is the Caribbean Sea, since the density of water is different and the color is different). The impressions are very positive, the sediment remained only from the flight, because the air conditioners work very hard on board and after a 12-hour flight I got sick with bronchitis, so be careful and if you feel that it’s cold, feel free to approach the flight attendants or the senior flight attendant and say to they changed the temperature in the cabin, it’s better to sit warm than to treat pneumonia later (from air conditioners this is twice! ).
