In January, despite the season, there were few vacationers and mostly they could be found on the beach or by the pool with a smooth descent into the water. Even in Moscow, the tour operator advised me to take a room of an improved category: Junior Suite Deluxe. Our room was closest to the beach and really differed significantly from the standard, so the overpayment in this case is justified. Absolutely loved the room: lime-colored walls, a large hot tub, a huge four-poster bed through the beam, and wicker furniture. Immediately in the recreation area, we found a mini bar with water, soda, beer and snacks. The only negative that was a very weak wifi signal in the room, if you plan to stay in touch or upload a large number of photos, solve the issue with Internet access. But this is a problem in many hotels. But, the main advantage, as I said, is a very close location to a private beach, where only guests of this hotel relax and, of course, there are no hucksters offering to buy some nonsense. The beach is specially designed for couples, double comfortable sun loungers, tents with canopies immersed in the shade of palm trees, a bar with snacks and alcohol nearby so that you can stay anywhere for a long time, the whitest sand, just heaven on earth! You can walk along it in 10-15 minutes to the neighboring beach, where various animations are already being held: dancing, yoga, etc. . The same situation with food: you can choose to visit the restaurants of Catalonia Bavaro, or you can go to your own restaurants. By the way, the cuisine is both there and there at a very high level and the food is varied, it all depends on the number of days of stay. In a week we managed to visit Catalonia only once for dinner and a disco, the rest of the time we spent enjoying the silence. More precisely, the first two days we were completely delighted with what we saw, we cruised between the beach, the pool and the room and did not know where to stay, barely tanning (and this happened on the third day of vacation, the Dominican sun fries pretty much we went on an individual tour to Saona with 2 Bananas , the next day at dawn, we had a wedding photo shoot on the beach with them) and only on the 6th day we realized that it would be nice to get to the restaurant of the neighboring hotel, where VIP places were provided for us. I'll start in order. We flew through Zurich (Swiss Airlines, I recommend) from Kyiv to Zurich 3 hours, there 2 hours and from Zurich to Punta Canna 10 hours.
I met the Tourist Service company (in principle, not bad).
We arrived at the hotel at about 17.00, settled quickly, drove to our house (3-storey houses, 4 rooms per floor), unloaded the luggage and started!! ! We are newlyweds (in the hotel booking in the voucher this is INDICATED) and we go into the room: wine is spilled on the floor, pieces of bread are lying on the floor, towels are not fresh, but there is a small bottle of rum as a gift and not fresh fruit wrapped in plastic! The room is of course more or less normal, but if only it was clean!!!
We then noticed how other tourists are met (not even newlyweds) at the reception, everyone is given a cocktail! Can you say that you care about the little things? But the quality of rest consists of such trifles!
We went to the beach. The beach, palm trees and ocean are awesome! The nature in the hotel is super, the territory of the hotel is huge, as if you are walking somewhere in the botanical garden!! ! We return back to the room (the day of arrival), and there water from the ceiling from the air conditioner leaked onto the floor of the room! We called the reception and said about it, they answered that they would come tomorrow and fix everything! The next day they came and poked around, and in the evening again the floor of the room was flooded with water !!!
On the 3rd day we were given another room!! ! We go into the room clean, everything is tidy and the air conditioner blows WARM air (and it’s impossible to sleep on the street without air conditioning) on the fourth day we complain and they offer us to move to another room again (just imagine laying out and folding things every time !!! ) we refused (zadolbalo!!! ) and asked to bring a floor fan.
On the third day, a thunderstorm began and it rained for a day and a half, and for the whole rest it rained 3-4 times an hour.
There is a lot of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but it is all monotonous! Cocktails in the bars (on the beach, at the bar, at the reception) make very tasty and generally Dominican rum is super!
We took 2 excursions to Saonna and Catalinita (the most interesting and most expensive $ 900 for two), but the excursions are cool.
We didn't go anywhere else from the hotel. Shops in the hotel are expensive.
Take mosquito and mosquito repellent with you! I didn't have a single living place on my body!! ! That's horrible! They eat there, although they said that they regularly poison them! In the store they have "OFF" is 20 bucks!!! ! Ordinary consultation with a doctor in a hotel costs 90 bucks!!!
