I have something to compare with - without tour operators I drove along the northern coast of the Dominican Republic, the Caribbean coast and visited Bavaro. The hotel is actually 3. At first we were pleased when we arrived we were told the price for a standard room was $130 per person, and we bargained for $43. The kitchen is just awful. Everything is salty, overcooked - almost like fast food. In addition to greens, fruits, almost nothing is possible to eat. The hotel is really huge (there are a lot of rooms, but the territory is small), it is, as it were, buried in the land, so the beach line is short. There is also building No. 26 (it is the closest to the sea) - it has an unbearable smell of dust + just warm water flowed from the hot water tap. Thank God we were only in this hotel for 4 days and the last day at my insistence with a scandal (first in Spanish and then in English for clarity) we were moved to a preference building (at least I was able to wash my hair with hot water). Due to the different categories of tourists (we saw about 6 colors of bracelets on tourists), you find yourself in some kind of discriminatory zone. Part of the beach for the Royal Club, part for the preference club.....just took a lounger - the staff is trying to drive you away.... There are few awnings on the beach for the average tourist. And at the same time, they still invite tourists to interviews-presentations for 1.5 hours with the hope of giving them club cards. And it was also full of Russians and very intrusive low-level clingy staff. . .
