We were at the hotel in July 2012. My husband and I really wanted to lie on the ocean coast for 2 weeks and enjoy the white sand to our heart's content. The Dominican Republic was chosen because of the reasonable price.
The most unpleasant and difficult for us was the flight. We flew from Moscow without transfers for 10 hours. When it was finally over and we got off the plane, the next shock for us was the climate. We knew that it was quite humid in the Dominican Republic... but apparently, after 10 hours, we really wanted to breathe in the cool evening air. First of all, my camera fogged up and the first photos didn’t turn out... For those who haven’t been and want to understand approximately how “wet” it is: on the street it always seems to be hovering before the rain. But don't worry, you will soon get used to the climate and the time difference. . . The main thing is to endure 2 days and not go to bed during the day. . you can easily confuse day with night.
We flew Natalie on a tour. Upon arrival of Natalie, the tour did not work well... In order to get the number of your bus, you had to stand in line and then also wait for the same guides to bring everyone to the buses... But it’s late, I want to eat, I want to relax . . Then transfer to hotels. We rode for a long time and several times passed by some hotels where our tourists were supposed to drop off... So we arrived at our hotel...
Resettlement:
We were quickly given the keys to the room and something like a second dinner... because. We did not have time for the main dinner at the restaurant.
Number:
We got a two-story room overlooking the beach and the ocean. Everything in the room is old but clean. We initially did not plan anything super enchanting. We understood that we were eating at 4. The goal is the ocean + white sand.
The territory is not very big, but shady and green. Peacocks walk on the lawns completely fearing people. I was very pleased with the tennis courts and free Wi-Fi (sorry that only the stage area)
Beach:
Here we were upset: (Many people write that the beach is the best and that the shade, on the contrary, is good in strong sun... but it didn’t seem so to us. Firstly, on the beach, in addition to palm trees, pine trees with thin but long thorns grow... And these thorns as a result, they were everywhere, both in the water and in the white sand. Because of them, the sand was no longer so white and soft for walking barefoot. . Shade is of course good, you can hide from the scorching sun, but when you go to the beach after 15.00 have to carry a sunbed around the beach in search of the sun.
Nutrition:
All liked it. The choice has always been and always is great. Seafood was also served for dinner. Fruit constantly and in large quantities. There was always ice cream in the evening. I was pleased with the free, at least the whole rest, a la carte restaurant, the main thing is to sign up in the morning. Thanks for the amazing coffee! The lobby is especially delicious : ) Cocktails are mostly based on white rum, I think if you are not very picky, you will find something especially tasty for yourself. We even determined in what proportions we like a cocktail and asked the bartender to do just that.
Animation:
There were always some distractions on the beach and in the evening. Even a mini show in the evening. And even despite the fact that all the animation was chatting in English-Spanish, we understood everything and it didn’t bother us at all : ) We even learned a few Spanish words; )
Excursions:
Bought almost everything from Natalie tour.
Were on the island of Saona. A paradise place : ) Just don’t go into the thickets so as not to spoil the impression of a snow-white beach and the beautiful Caribbean Sea
We visited Santo Domingo. We went to Columbus Lighthouse. Interesting and insightful.
We went to the dolphinarium. I also liked it very much.
We believe that the holiday was a success. They even decided that for such long trips it is necessary to allocate not 2, but 3 weeks.
Perhaps we are not picky and therefore we liked almost everything (if only the pine trees were removed from the beach and everything would be fine) I advise the hotel for those who go to relax without pathos and gloss : )
