Pärnu - the summer capital of Estonia
Estonians joke that if you have not seen a person for a year, then you will definitely meet him on the promenade in Pä rnu - the "summer capital" of Estonia. The journey from Tallinn to Pä rnu takes just under two hours by bus and costs eight and a half euros. Tickets can be purchased online, at the ticket office of the bus station and from the driver (subject to availability).
Pä rnu is a small but very nice city with an ancient center and wide sandy beaches. It is pleasant to walk around Pä rnu not only in summer, but also in the "off season"; and we came here for a day in April, did not regret it at all.
Pä rnu is proud not only of its resort present, but also of its glorious historical past: many famous personalities (from Ibrahim Hannibal to David Oistrakh) walked along these streets, breathing in the clear Baltic air.
