Trip from 11/01/2010 to 11/11/2010. A young couple.
We arrived in Russia after Egypt and immediately plunged into reality - dirt, dullness, rudeness. And the feeling that - palm trees, the sea, camels, etc. - all this was so long ago!
The flight to Sharm el-Sheikh turned out to be a very tiring six-hour flight. During the flight, many of our compatriots managed to “celebrate” so much that it was almost impossible to sleep because of drunken hooting. The road from the airport to the hotel took about 2 hours. In general, I liked the hotel - calm, family-friendly, clean.
Below about my feelings: what was, what was missing, what I liked.
RECEPTION
There is a currency exchange machine at the reception.
A shop with various souvenirs - everything is 2 times more expensive than in Dahab.

There is an information desk where you can sign up for a trip to the city. Every day, free buses to Dahab depart from the hotel - at 12:00, at 18:30 and at 21:00. From the hotel to the city a maximum of 20 minutes drive. The trip is designed for 2 hours. If you suddenly get free before these two hours, go to the bus - it is always open and the driver does not leave the bus anywhere. There are enterprising merchants in Dahab who will kindly invite you to just sit and relax in their shop - do not agree! For the fact that you just sit with them - they will rip off the money - even if you don’t buy anything.
At the reception, you will need to take cards in order to later exchange them near the pool or on the beach for striped white-and-blue towels. When leaving the hotel, these cards must be handed over, otherwise a fine of 20 euros.
For various trips / excursions, dry rations (if any) are also taken at the reception.
ROOM
Settled in a room on the first floor (two-storey houses) near the construction site. But this construction did not interfere in the least for the entire vacation - it is practically invisible and inaudible. And we were rarely in the room. And the fact that the first floor was so personally more convenient for us than the second - it was possible to enter / exit even through the front door, even through the terrace. It's very convenient, especially when you're in a hurry.
The room is big spacious clean.
Room cleaning and linen change - daily.
The shower is non-removable (not usual), the bathroom itself is small, there is a bidet (combined with a toilet bowl).
Plumbing is new, clean, without any obvious flaws.
Tap water is not yellow (as some reviews said)
Of the toiletries - toile paper, small pieces of soap and the same size packaging with shampoo (whom they are already designed for - one can only guess). So it is better to bring both shampoo and soap.
There is no hair dryer in the room, only at the reception.
The towels are white.
Laundry services are paid.
TV - satellite, in principle, not really needed, because. were rarely in the room.
Air conditioning is just a necessary thing that has never failed.
Large spacious closet, it also has a safe.
The bed in our room was a large double bed (and not like in some rooms two singles pushed together). True, we personally did not make any swans and little animals from towels or a blanket on the bed. Apparently this is a personal initiative of the attendants, because. in other rooms, these same "animals" were on the beds.

Conditions for children are good. The room is provided with a wooden baby cot and a baby chair in the restaurant.
HOTEL
The hotel is developing new, construction of another administrative building + new houses is underway. And in this you can find your advantages - it means that the hotel is in demand!
On the territory of the hotel there is a diving club “ORCA”, where you can take scuba diving courses, there you can also rent scuba equipment. For beginners in this business, I advise you to go to Dahab, buy a mask + snorkel + safety shoes there and believe me, this is enough for the eye.
Also on the territory of the hotel you can order a two-hour excursion on quad bikes - you will get unforgettable emotions, or at least diversify your stay at the hotel.
Clinic services, masseur, hairdresser, sauna - all for $.
There is an internet cafe.
The hotel itself is located near the mountains. Plus, the mountains save from strong winds. Minus - the sun sets early somewhere at 16 o'clock and you don’t really buy and don’t sunbathe.
There was never any bad smell in the hotel. The only smell was chlorine near the pools.
The staff is friendly, unobtrusive, constantly joking, but not rude. I have never noticed that one of the staff just sat and did nothing - everyone is busy with their own business, but at the same time they do not flicker before their eyes. When we checked in, the porter took our suitcase to our room. When checking out, they themselves “rolled” their suitcases.
FOOD
Diverse and for every taste. Omelettes, pancakes, salads, vegetables, fruits, meat, barbecue, sausages, fish, pizza, pasta, potatoes, eggs, various sauces, soups, a huge variety of sweets and pastries.
From drinks: coffee / tea bags, juices, syrups, water, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, wine - red / white / rose, beer, cocktails.
Ice cream for children is free.
ENTERTAINMENT

Animation - Arabic lessons, mini football, volleyball, yoga, oriental dancing, fitness exercises, a disco for children, a disco bar + disco (in the evenings after dinner on the beach), there are also sometimes shows of transvestites. Anyone who says that animation is poorly developed is simply too lazy to do it all.
Gym, billiards, table tennis - free of charge - all located in one building near the beach.
Everyone found entertainment depending on their needs and capabilities. Some simply “rejoiced” at Olenklyuzev, moved from a restaurant to a cafe and did not even go to the sea.
SEA BEACH
Entrance to the sea ONLY from pantone due to the huge presence of corals. Lots of beautiful fish and sea urchins. Be sure to bring masks + snorkels for swimming and a camera for shooting underwater - you won't regret it.
There is no ban on night swimming, but I would not advise going into the sea at night, especially if you have no experience. There is a high chance of getting hurt on the corals.
The beach itself is sandy. Showers and toilets are located near the beach itself. The beach is cleaned every day, early in the morning. A bit annoying presence of flies, but only on the beach.
Bedouins with horses and camels ply along the edge of the beach with inveterate frequency. They don’t cause discomfort, on the contrary, you can take a photo with them for free.
The pier is normal - wooden, not wobbly.
TOURISTS
A large number of Germans and Austrians -% 80. There were few Russians at the time of our settlement, then large groups arrived. Mostly families with children (two or three children each), young couples and couples of our parents' age. A LOT of divers %70 of all vacationers are divers and they do not need nightclubs, restaurants, or those who come to have a holiday romance - they only need the sea and fish.
TOURS
Climbing Mount Sinai - night and day climb (be sure to take warm clothes with you, rugs / blankets - it is very cold in the mountains at night). Visit to the monastery of St. Catherine. Tour (by plane) to Cairo to the pyramids. Camel or jeep safari. An excursion to the Ras Mohamed Nature Reserve in Sharm El Sheikh is also offered.
Excursions can be ordered both from the representative of your tour operator at the hotel, and in Dahab.
Minor shortcomings include:
1) Early sunset.

2) Tamara, a girl who is absolutely uninterested in her work, is a representative of the Pegasus travel agency in the hotel itself. I can say one thing - we learned about the date and time of check-out from the hotel (and departure from the country, the flight was constantly postponed) only 5 hours in advance, well, not an hour!
And everything else is trifles. The main thing is to decide in advance why you are going to Egypt. If you are looking for wild entertainment, then this hotel is not for you. And if you are looking for a relaxing holiday, beautiful views of fish and corals, then please come here!
We had a great rest - my boyfriend and I were satisfied. Because they themselves found entertainment for themselves and did not wait for someone to come and bring a good mood on a saucer.
Have a great holiday and don't forget to take a good mood with you (and a first aid kit - well, just in case)! ; )
