In general, the rest went well - the hotel is a solid 4! Quiet environment, pleasant and not impudent staff, a convenient place for snorkeling and diving. The contingent of vacationers is the most diverse: Germans, Poles, Ukrainians, Belarusians, Russians and locals.
Territory: well-groomed, compact and clean. There are 3 pools - one with hydromassage, the second with slides, and the third - deep for adults, next to which there is a bar. There is a hall with tennis and billiards. Rooms are located in two-story buildings. There is a diving center on the territory. To the side is a piece of territory that is still under construction. Beautiful view of the mountains.
Rooms: Ours was old but cleaned every day. Air-conditioned room with a fridge, balcony and safe.

Meals: In general, decent and varied. Breakfast and dinner in one restaurant and lunch in another. A varied selection of sweets, a lot of fruits, European cuisine. A peculiar approach to alcohol: a glass of wine and beer for lunch and dinner per person, but by order, and the execution of the order depends on the waiter (they may not bring it). And so strong alcohol and cocktails are in the bars near the pool and on the beach, but it is all diluted... It is better to come for dinner a little early in order to take tables on the street, so every evening there is either live music or singing.
Sea and beach: the sea is clean and interesting. There is a pontoon and a coral reef along the entire territory of the hotel, convenient for those who are engaged in snorkeling and diving. The reef starts 15-20 meters from the shore and is 3-8 m high. If you get tired of swimming or you need to adjust the mask, then 5 m from the edge of the reef, the depth is 1.5 m with a rocky bottom, you can safely stand on your feet; the fish are not as shy as in Sharm and let them get much closer; a wide variety of little things, but the big ones are much smaller than in Sharm. Having sailed along the reef for 1 km (to the left of the palm trees and to the right up to three pools), 3 significant and worth visiting places can be noted:
1. located to the left of the pier. Opposite the hotel fence, 10 m from the main reef;
2. to the right, 100 m, also a little deeper from the main reef;
3. is located 500 m from the hotel to the right. These are three pools. ATTENTION: for those who want to get there, it is better to do it ON THE SHORE (!!! ) and then if you are allowed by the local Bedouins. The reserve begins there and people are brought there for paid snorkeling. Well, if you swam 300 m to the right to the Bedouin cafes, then SWIM ON THE SHORE (!!! ). Then you can get out only after 200m. Due to the fact that living coral gardens begin there (when it is unrealistic to overcome the low tide, plus a small current with a wave to the right, which cuts off the possibility of returning back), in which there will be a passage in the coral reef in the form of three pools with different water temperatures.

They also praise the place near the hotel for diving. There are two passages in the reef where you can go to the depth, there is a diving center in front of the beach. For lovers of snorkeling, there is a shop with fins and full-face masks 3-system ($20 - $25) at the reception, but I would like to tell you right away from experience in using different full-face masks: most masks gradually let water through and after 10-20 minutes. they start to fog up, which is why you have to remove them and rinse them. Plus, when you swim, you automatically open your mouth when you blow out your ears and, in connection with this, after 10 minutes, your jaw muscles begin to hurt, and even wet elastic bands that stretch unevenly....Therefore, do not be too lazy to visit the city: there are a couple of diving shops where you can buy more comfortable Thai masks from TILOS ($ 20), in which you can swim calmly and comfortably for an hour. Its main difference is that it has silicone puffs for the head.
The beach is clean, but with a few inconveniences. First: because of the path along which ATVs and large tourist buses pass during the day to get into the reserve. The second is a camel trail along the sea. I immediately want to advise parents to be more attentive, because they saw a picture when a mother rides a camel, and the children undertook to feed the rest and one child was bitten by a camel on the hand. The third is the local kids who are constantly spinning around the sunbeds and want to sell you something or steal something. . . Be careful!! ! There is a bar on the beach with nice staff. There are animators who conduct gymnastics and organize games. And in the evenings, a disco and various animations are held at the beach bar.
Some more clarifications on the beach: when a strong wind blew, it was along the coast from left to right, and although there was a wave, the passage to the pontoon in the sea was open, while kitesurfing was in full swing in the bay near the city. You need to take places on the beach in the first row in advance and it is better on the left side, since the sun sets there half an hour later due to the presence of the mountain.
Dahab: a calm, pleasant town with its own flavor. The hotel provides a shuttle service to the city center twice round trip. In the center on the waterfront on the left side there is a supermarket, many souvenir shops and seafood restaurants, on the right side there are restaurants for locals, a fruit shop and diving shops.
Have a nice holiday everyone!! !
