Hi all!
We went to Egypt for the first time. Dahab in general and the hotel in particular - the most boring place! If it were not for the underwater world, of course, they would howl from longing. We went specially with masks to dive. By the way, they brought special shoes for corals with them, purchased at an exorbitant price, and they cost $ 5 in the place, so don’t bother, it’s better to buy in Dahab (no way without it). The hotel for 4 * does not pull even with a big stretch. Mediocre 3. Settled at first in a room with shifted one and a half beds, dirty curtains, rusty plumbing and a terrace (1st floor), overlooking the construction site....Despite the $ 10 stuck in the passport. They asked to change to another room, better on the 2nd floor, they "scolded" another $ 10 at the reception and we were settled in a MUCH better room on the 2nd floor, with a side sea view. That's better!
Nobody ever left us any shampoos/soaps/caps/decorations from towels, despite regular tips ($1-2 maybe not enough? ), but nothing was stolen, which is also very nice.

The pool is small. There is also a children's puddle. The pool was mostly reclining grandparents, the British and Poles. Immediately after 18.00 (after sunset, when the sea is dangerous due to various nightlife, plus cold), the pool was ALWAYS chlorinated (everyone was dispersed). The question is why not at night? ! Why not give people a couple more hours to swim in this paddling pool, because there is nothing else to do?
Food, like any food in Egypt (everyone says so), is monotonous, and somehow inedible, as if the Egyptians do not know what this or that product should taste like. I'm not picky, honestly, but HOW CAN YOU SPIT MEAT? It looks like delicious food, it tastes....The same goes for everything. But there are a lot of things on the tables, visually creating the effect of a large selection... Sweets, however, and fruits are delicious, but we are not particularly sweet tooth, we wanted something more substantial. By the way, stock up on activated charcoal and other various sorbents))) Bon appetit! )
Very boring hotel. Only "bourgeois" pensioners felt comfortable there, drinking in the morning by the pool, in the evening on the veranda, nuuuu, for an amateur. By the way, because of them there were no places either by the pool or on the veranda ever. Youth, there is nothing to do there!
