A wonderful place for rest and relaxation. This isn't our first time in Egypt, but it's our first time in Dahab. We really, really enjoyed it! A huge thank you to Ali for helping us upgrade our room and smoothing out any potential issues – he's a wonderful person! When we booked the tour, we didn't pay any attention to the size of the room, which turned out to be very, very small for 3 people and far from all the hotel locations. Note: rooms 300+, pay attention to the size. The rooms are clean, cleaned every day. The food is normal for a 4-star hotel; we are not picky about this issue, we did not go hungry. On the beach there are French fries and burgers, you can order pizza for an extra fee (we did this when we were too lazy to go to lunch) - very tasty. Two swimming pools, a spa center, entertainment - every evening there is a mini disco for children and in the evening dancing, etc. for adults. The staff is smiling, unobtrusive, everyone is positive. The alcohol leaves much to be desired. My favorite gin and tonic tasted like some kind of fuel oil or machine oil, however, as did the wine and rum and Coke - this is of course sad. . A huge thank you to Nagy from the beach bar – he made wonderful, delicious cocktails; they were truly beautiful and delicious. I hope our modest gifts to Ali and Nagy that we left at reception were passed on to them. The hotel grounds don't have the usual shops, pharmacies, etc. , as is typical in Sharm. You can stroll along the beach for about 20 minutes to the neighboring hotel or go into town for shopping (transfer from the hotel is $7). It's quite windy, but not unbearably so. There are mosquitoes in the evenings...a lot...bring foggers and sprays. The sandy beach and the incredibly beautiful sea – this is definitely worth a trip to Dahab. Thanks to our travel agent Lyudmila for choosing the tour – we made the right choice again.
