The hotel is average, but in this place like El Gouna it does not matter.

We rested in El Gouna in autumn (10/16/2014 to 10/23/2014). The weather is great, the sea is warm. The place is heavenly, so the minuses of the hotel did not spoil the impression. The hotel is located on the canal, it is alone there, opposite from all sides, through the canals mostly private villas. Wi-Fi catches, in principle, everywhere both in the room and on the beach, but best of all at the reception. In autumn there is no animation, 2 times a week there was an hour-long performance with skirts. There is nothing to do in the hotel, but Downtown is nearby, there are shops and cafes, yes, and it’s a pleasure to take a walk. No one extorted money during check-in, we were moved without any problems from the terrible room 115, which was given at the beginning (view of the road, and some kind of stink from the window). They don’t feed ice, but it’s not a 5 either, you won’t stay hungry, it’s quite normal, local pears from fruits, excellent, sweet melons, dates, and something else local. There was no pork, chicken, beef, turkey, different soups. The pool is acceptable, there are two of them, but one is always in the shade, so it's cold, no one swam there. Yes, and we also did not come to swim in the pool. There is a jacuzzi, but the water was quite cold there. . They cleaned and changed linen every day, no one asked for a tip, everything is worthy, the staff is friendly. To the beach on foot 10 min. past the villas, nice to walk around. Or by boat 3.5 min. along the canal to the beach. The beach is a special place. A LOT of space. Beautiful, pleasant, nothing better. There is always a place to lie down, sunbathe and swim and take a walk. You can also dine at the beach bar. The pontoon is very long. The good news is that you can sunbathe, swim and just walk EVERYWHERE, and not just in the place designated by hotel sunbeds. Once a week, on Fridays at 20-45 there is a free bus to the Marina. On foot unrealistically far, by bus min. 15. Or at least every day by rickshaw taxi for $ 1 or 5 pounds per person (open taxi, double). Rides 10 min. In the Marina, in the evenings on certain days, there is a beautiful, colorful performance on the square. This is a place of millionaires with yachts. Very beautiful. It's nice to walk. There are many shops, but the prices are already different than in Downtown. Lots of restaurants, cafes. In a word, this place-El Gouna is not like the whole resort of Egypt (before that they were in Hurghada and Sharm), there is no comparison. I advise EVERYONE, that's where it really doesn't matter what kind of hotel. Rested just fine!
