The rooms are dirty, the furniture is shabby - it reminded me very much of Soviet-era hotels somewhere in the provinces.

We did not get to the rooftop pool, but I would not swim in it. Cairo in general is a very dirty city, and the hotel does not give the impression of cleanliness.

The windows of our room looked out somewhere into a niche, the street was not visible. So if you are interested in the view from the window - check where your windows go. And look around very carefully. Check if you have a balcony, and if there is any industrial unit on the balcony that can turn on at half past six in the morning and buzz loudly.
The city stinks of exhaust fumes, constantly hanging haze from the burning. Therefore, you can’t open the windows, otherwise you will suffocate. The air conditioner hums so that it is impossible to sleep with it, it is better to turn it on in advance and turn it off before going to bed.
Hot water was always available without interruption.
Breakfast at the hotel is quite decent, at least you can eat and no one got sick.
