Came to Cairo for 2 days. I was looking for an inexpensive hotel, closer to the center. Found.
Located right on Tahrir Square. Close to metro and museum. The exchange office is 2 minutes walk - exit the hotel and stomp to the left, reach the first intersection and see the old exchange office building at 11 o'clock, turn at 9 o'clock and go until you see another new exchange office on the right side. If you have a mastercard, then everything is simplified 100 times - ATMs are at every step.
The hotel is definitely not 4 stars. I would say 2. The shower and toilet are not in the room. Although, I must say that I settled just after the repair and even my window still smelled of fresh paint. The plumbing was also new. I can't complain about the dirt. Apparently, they have there in the center of Cairo, in old houses, showers and toilets are everywhere separately.
The hotel has internet. 1 hour - 5 pounds.
I liked the staff - nice young guys.
Tours can be bought at the reception.

There were foreigners in the hotel. One Canadian who was once even in Kyiv, one Frenchman who lives in this hotel, one German woman who also lives in Cairo and from time to time stays in hotels, and there was also one Swede with whom I did not communicate. The company was not bad - it was interesting to chat.
In general, the hotel, apparently, is not bad for the center of Cairo. Personally, I have seen two hotels: one for £.140 with a better room but much further from the square and another for £.50, also a little further from the square and also with a separate shower and toilet.
And I also met a Dutchman in the park at the Cairo Museum, who studied there and paid 25l for the place where he lived. In short, the longer you are going to stay there, the better price you can negotiate for a room.
